I've got to tell you something there are some guys out there who don't concider that their picture is going to be seen all over the world and don't even look like they've taken a bath in a few days! I got a wink from from some guy who looked like he'd just been in a fight or something, and he's on a DATING site? He could've shown some self respect and at least shaved or got on a decent shirt or something. Okay maybe he wanted to show his TRUE self or something but dang, find something better. I was busy and didn't wink back for a few days and fianlly did and tried to make polite conversation and he went off on me like a psycho (could'nt handle anything less than immediate gratification or something, I guess) wierdo. Married? I had a no pic on profile wink at me once. He even had married on his profile!!! Maybe he didn't want the wife to find out?

He shouldn't have even submitted those photos he had on file, yuck and he went off on me site unseen this is the type that might hunt you down by your pic and try to hurt you. I'm trying to look upon the heart of a person which is the measure of the man rather then his looks which is really why people want the pics on profiles. That is, if we're really being honest with ourselves. it has nothing to do with the light of his eyes or the glit in his teeth, its just a way for us to judge and determine if they're goodlooking enough to write to. When I first joined Dh, I had nice info on my profile and did not put that I was BBW, although my body type said large, I had plenty of emails and winks b/c basically no one reads the profiles thoroughly. Then I did a bit of an experiment, I took off all my info on my profile b/c after reading numerous threads on the "do looks really matter", there was just no point in putting in a detailed history of my wants/likes/desires if I wasn't going to be emailed base upon a mutual connection of such. I just left the fact that I was BBW, true to form, no emails/winks, so I left it as such, don't expect any emails/winks from this site from the men. Their stand is pretty evident, pics are for judgements only, even the portly ones...lol. They have proven themselves to be as basic as they come, and I'm in search of something more substantial. I do get an occasional email/winks here and there (to my surprise ), most have been with pics. I do email them back to say I'm interested (with or w/o pics) but alas we write for a bit and then the men make no extra effort to continue and they disappear. So either way, it matters not...they can be jerks and disappear with or w/o pics. Not a huge payoff in the grand scheme of things in my life. I'm well loved thank goodness or I would have some serious self esteem issues. paris

What I do find strange, though, is the fact that this one particular man looks at my profile almost daily and won't contact me. What's up with that? I looked at his and doubt we'd be a match even for a date, so...he should look for someone else. (This isn't about being mean, here, just simply honest.) And, like many, I've reworded my profile a few times...so maybe that's just it, but it still baffles me.

Could be that they are married, or it could be that they are self conscious about their appearances. Could also be that they are lazy or have some idealistic view that they want their match to be interested in them before a pic is shared. who knows. I tend to ignore profiles without pics for one simple reason...and that is that an incomplete profile sends a msg to me that the individual does not think it's important to present a complete profile, therefore it looks as if they are only half in. And if they are only half in, then it also means that they are half out. My interpretation may be incorrect, but it's how I feel and nothing good ever came from me ignoring my instincts.

I agree, if he is a "real" person, he would respect the possibility of a relationship by having his photo posted. Same with women. Personally, the camera, unfortunately does not like me as several people have said I look better in person. Afterall, it is what's in the heart that matters the most. The safest thing is to take is slow, do a criminal check, and pray. That's my opinion!

To those who are talking about no pics I had a guy contact me with no picture and so I replied that he would have to send a picture becasue I don't consider men with no picture. So he had it in his profile that he thought pictures gave false impressions and were misleading then replied back to me that sending a picture and these communications with me were a true waste of time and came across very angry. I replied back that he was nothing but a contradiction stating that pictures give false impressions and were misleading and then go off and view a profile of a woman with a picture. I wanted to know why he wasn't viewing women that didn't have a picture only and then told him he was just a reflection of his statement a true waste of time!!!

If you have clicked that when you view someone, they can't see it, then you won't be able t see who views you. Check in your account options on your home page to see if you've done that and you can change it there.
