how about a group to dicuss how to do things on your pc. some of us are beginners & tend to be computer challenged.i for example have not a clue how to copy, cut & paste. i've heard a lot of grandparents only started using PCs to communicate the grand kids. we only learned the bare basics & would now like to know more.

sounds like a great idea to me. I can type on a computer just fine, but limited on other things. I know one man I met here asked me how to chat online. There are lots of people in our age group that need help.

Post your questions and I'll do my best to answer.
Post your PC specs (if you know them..i.e. RAM, processor, etc)
Post software application not working properly (i.e. Internet Explorer, Anti-Virus, etc)
Post Operating System
Any and all symptoms, "what's not working", etc.

To cut and paste, "left click" to the left or right of what you want copy/cut and without letting your finger up slide it to the other end of what you are trying to copy/ cut, it should now be "highlighted", release the mouse button. Then place the cursor (arrow) on the highlighted item, now "right click" and a list of options should appear. Move the cursor down to what you want to do and "left click" again when you reach the desired command. To paste, just left click the spot where you want the word/picture to be, and then right click and the options should appear again, scroll down to the desired command and left click again. The word or phrase or photo should now be "inserted" where you want it. Sounds hard but it really isn't. Good luck Harriett.
