Most of the woman our age have been burnt so many times that they live in fear of hooking up with the wrong man again. They also set their expectations so high that most of us could never meet them; even if given the chance. The men that do bullshit them for a wile and draw them in; crush them when they find out that they are human and not the lie that they have fallen for. S o they then trust no man and end up here; were they don't have to have personel contact and can just block you if you get to close.

yea randyeye, you sure are right! most of the women you meet on here are so gun shy, they really have no reason to be on these dating sites and they do like the safe conversation of an on-line thing without the hassle of being heart broken again

i tried to download my ptcs but where i live at ( very rural) all i have is dial up and this sight keeps kickin me off, but i am on other sites (with pcs) as are most of you and we guys have the same result!!

What's with the bashing??? Yah, I've been hurt in the past but I don't like to judge men all the same just like I don't like to be judged to be like a few women. Yah, I'm picky. I'm not gonna just settle for anyone and be miserable. We all have our baggage and if we decide to lose some of the heavy load along the way of our journey through life we still carry some with us. Post on other threads that interest you, get out there and be seen. I find I can learn a lot about a person by their comments in a thread. Impressions are everything. If nothing else, you can make friends.

the problem with most of us sincere guys are that we aren't flam boyant or smooth with talking to women! so we may send an unimpressive message to you women and you guys blow us off. we are the inexperienced, one woman man, you guys are looking for and just pass us by for the smooth talking multi -dating guys who have all the experience

could not have said it better bus2blue, you hit the nail right on the head.
also i get ask the same over and over, no date / girlfriend for 2 years, i just was not ready, and now that i am a lot of ladies think i am not telling the truth.
It is very bad and sad that things happen the way they do some times, that is why i approch women with an open mind and hopeful.
Again you are so right maybe we can find a way over or around them being burnt.

I am recently divorced and just started on the internet....it seems the only way to meet people. From the little exposure I've had, it seems to me that a lot of the guys don't want dates...they seem to want a fantasy.. I choose not to put my picture up.... not because I'm a double bagger...because...sometimes women....really women simply want to be liked for themselves and not because I wear a size 4. I think if a man wants to get a date; they should show sincerity, humor and patience...and sometimes a little restraint...instead of pretending to be.... that suave cool guy or the one that desperate. All good things come to those who wait.
