Her Diary
Tonight I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment. Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed but he kept quiet and seemed so absent-minded.
I asked him what was wrong. He said nothing was wrong. I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry. On the way home I told him that I loved him and he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior. I don't know why he didn't say 'I love you too.'
When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV. He seemed so distant and aloof.
Finally, I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed, and to my surprise he responded to my caress and we made love, but I still felt that he was distracted and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

I shot the worst round of golf in my life today, but at least I got laid.

To me it's about women analyzing every detail which I feel most do and men looking at the things at face value not realizing why the woman is worried. Ah, now did I get it right? Maybe there is no right  just the way we are.

Ahhhhhh......ding ding ding.......HUGE MISTAKE....... I do understand the jist of this entry and got a kick out of it from merely the point of how women can make huge mistakes that have negative results. I also found it to be a bit frustrating from the standpoint of how easily she could have averted her dismay and allowed his mood to be his problem and not hers. I just would not have asked if it was "my fault". A guy wants to mope........knock yourself out and then let me know when you have either worked it out or want to share. Otherwise, life goes on...baby......and I choose happiness and harmony over dischord. (and still want to get laid) lol

 Thanks BeachMermaid50 for the input! It's great to know what men think. Yes, I guess it could show that the woman isn't secure enough to believe a bad mood has nothing to do with them. But on the other side of it what would be the big deal if the man explained what the problem really is? How come men in general don't want to tell how they feel inside and keep it to themselves? Is it the way they were brought up?

I was in a similar situation…I was there (she too) for someone – Just to be there, and booty calling, about it. Otherwise We had separate lives, can’t tell what to do, and don’t have a lamo blond joke ether, but you might want to take up golfing or ask him what’s (but never works) more important – balls and clubs or the (sorry pun is intended here) the “hole in one” .

For me women are easy to figure out, because they constantly change their minds! I mean it's like this( honey do i look fat to you? now this is where it gets funny and sticky, because no matter what you say it is the wrong answer!) Me i do not respond with the usual answer, i tell her "well honey what you think?" Men on the other hand(in my era)were taught to hide their feelings because we were told men do not show their feelings!

When all is said and done, it's still all about communication and I'm sorry but the way that texting has started to play into a lot of venues doesn't help communication a bit-just makes me think we're 'dumbing' down America...maybe it's just me, but I'd much rather hear someone say something nice in the full context instead of the abreviated version as in texting. If I couldn't meet face to face, give me a phone call...much better than a text at any time-so one can hear/feel the inflections in one's voice-there is so much more there...(sigh) Okaaay, I'm getting off my soap box again!

a good and thorough knowledge of the key components of the male personality as well as the female personality helps to explain the motivation and behaviors behind the behaviors of each. i had the great pleasure to view a video about women that spelled out so many different things. when it was time to listen to the version for men (no video, just a tape recording) , i was not able to attend. darnit.......
i am a member of a meetup dot com group that explores many issues and has as it's purpose to celebrate sensuality and bring better understanding into focus between men and women.

I wish we could just read minds! It would be so much easier! Then we'd have the answers.
I'd rather phone anyway and then meet in person too. A person's mannerisms, the way they walk, the way they smile and laugh, their inner glow....doesn't show up in a photo or in writing.
Plus I don't understand the "winking" here. What does it mean? A passive aggressive way to avoid any rejection?

I think a lot of people 'wink' because they just don't know what to say to get a conversaton going-or maybe they can't spell and it embarrasses themselves, but I just say, go for it! Write note...see where it takes you, after all, the worst thing that can happen is they don't respond, or they say "thanks, but no thanks"...and then go forward from there.
