Look how far taboo things have come over just a few years and you'll see what I mean.

I think you can't judge a person by the color of their skin. People are different and you just have to give them a chance.

How about an older person who dates back to racial unrest in the south and many other parts of this country. I still see it very prevelent here in the south. Also hear the whispers and see the looks when you see a mixed race couple. Time and attitudes are changing for what I believe to be for the better. Still a long ways to go and I, personally, hope there comes a day when the color of your skin is not what we are judged by. Rather who you are as a person. There is really only one race.......The human race. We all want the same things. No matter the color of our skin, the language we speak, how we make a living or our financial status. I have and will continue to date outside of my race. I, personally don't give a crap about what anyone else thinks or says. I am there to enjoy the company of the person and not pick and choose based solely on what they look like. Like a few others that belong to this and other sites. Those that decide whether they will talk to, or even acknowledge you based on your looks first and foremost. My generation will probably not ever get past that racial attitude. I hope this upcoming generation can and will. Don't worry about people with narrow minds and prejudise. Do what makes you feel good and have a relationship with whom you feel is the best choice for you.

But don't get me wrong, I live in the South and I'd be a liar if I said I haven't gotten mean mugs and cold stares. I could care less though. Ignorance will never fade out but who really cares. Those people are people that will never matter to me so I"ll keep dating whoever I want. Also, I think that one day all races will mix so much that it won't matter. I know that sounds lame, but it'd sure be beautiful.

I've lived in 5 northern states n 2 southern and no matter where I live my tastes are still the same. The funny thing here is, nobody ever thinks I'm latin and probably assumes I'm dating outside my race a lot more then I really do. For me, beauty has no color, language, or country. Beauty is in the heart. Its said beauty is in the eye of the beholder and nothing more truthful can ever be said. What each individual sees as beautiful, is all that really matters. The most important thing to remember is, YOU are the only person you NEED to make happy. Family, friends and outsiders, need to find their own happiness and stop making others miserable. There is enough prejudice out there to go around an Im suprised that the attitudes havent changed that much since I was a teenager. I dated a girl I like in highschool in Atlanta and after about a month she met me at the car when I drove up and said she was forbiden by her parents to see me again. For all of those people that have indifferent opinions, I shall share with you a little of my past. I married young to a woman of my same race, thought everything was good, ups and downs as every relationship has maybe more. Long story short after 10 years of marriage everything was not fine, we divorced. After I collected myself and my mind was straight I started dating again and this was my experience. I met a beautiful black women who showed me what affection was about, more so then I ever received in 10 years of marriage with my x-wife. I have never returned to dating a woman of my own race and probably never will because of the major differences of how I am treated. One of the common phrases that I hear all the time is "we didnt do that when i was growing up" well there also wasnt cable TV, cell phones, or even a black president. To some it seems odd to see to different races/ethnicity be togeother. I think it shows diversity and diversity also show that youre very compatabily to different cultures, religions and environments. Sounds well rounded to me which is an attraction. I have the most racial family in the world, I teach my children differently! I think interracial couples are sweet. It wouldn't bother me at all. Actually children born with different mixed races are beautiful. Just like when different groups of white from different areas of European background are too!
