can anybody please tell me how someone you been with for 25 years can divorce you because they say they still love you but not in love with you.To me if you love someone love is forever.we did have things in common so that is not the reason.

my soninlaw is going through the same thing,with my daugther,i hate to say this but she is makin a big missatake,yes ive tryed ,so has he,she sayes the same thing love but not in love,but and heres what shes doing she is seeing a man at work which is breaking up this marrage,and she is in deneil,she sayes no she s not we know better,oh to be young again and know what i know now,i hope this helps you

im also going through with a gal i am inlove with and she is saying its delaying the enevatable what do that mean when I Love Her its her and her alone i know how ya wonder and all i have been makeing out with her but now it has stoped completely why i done things that were wrong lies never cheated party to much drugs but i learn from that and have moved on but she wants me to move on on to a diffrent female

I can definately relate to this one. It's like my ex-wife and I. WE love each as humanbeings, and the fact that she is and I am the parents of our 2 kids. However the Love shared between a husband and a wife just was not there. The only common interests was the 2 kids and the house. That and 1 weekend a yr. at a Bed and Breakfast for a murder mystery weekend. That was with several other couples. So yes it is possible.

When I heard those words, "I love you but I'm not in love with you" from someone that I loved unconditionally it tore a hole in my heart. However it did make me see that our marriage was really over and allowed me to move forward with my healing and to stabilize my finances and prepare the children.
I don't have the heart to tell someone that but if you want closure, that'll do it.

 that's what happened to my ex and I. He's still a friend and I love him as my son's dad but I have not been "in love" with him for years...took me a long time to realize it

I have been married for 28 years when last year my wife came to me and asked for a divorce. Her reasons where "she had to find herself" Also said she loves me but is not in love with me.... I wish I new what that meant, truly think it's just an easy way of not hurting anyone more

That happened to me .My x started looking for someone else because she felt we were more like friends than lovers after 13 yrs of marriage.If you dont spice it up and keep your partner intrested. Learned that lesson the hard way .Ladies talk to your partner. he cant read your mind

there is two diffrent kinds of love...i didnt really realize it till i got into my early 40's either....i was married for 15 yrs....one day i said i wanted a divorce, it was because i felt like i had a roomamte,come and go and do whatever he wanted....the older my two girls got, i wanted out...now i have been divorced going on 11 yrs, no i havent found that real love thing, i just dont think he is out there...everything just all falls in place...and lately there has been sentences missing...

Dear Auntie: Good topic, I was wondering about that too? I was told I care about you, but I fell out of love with you. It hurt! It helped me to realize Its that easy to say. I want out. Well, since it happen I have a new outlook on life. And am moving on. Why be with someone that doesn't love you. Its not fair to anybody.
It was best thing, the way I see it. Now, I can find somebody who will love me.

Yep after a 32 year relationship/marrige my wife was telling me she needed her space and wanted some vaca in mexico WTF! So i let her get drunk afew times she told me some stuff i found her cheating page on my space.com with guy kicked her ass to the curb. Good luck b*tch opps did i say that! no real anger here though mexico can keep her shes out of my life and getting over it fast! just learn from it apply it to your next love and get on with a happy life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  like me one or two beers a week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, being in love and loving someone are 2 totally different things with a HUGE difference. We can love our house, pets, friends, spouse, neighbors, etc.
But being in love is more of a "mutual" bond between two people not just one.
Without that bond we only learn to "love" our spouse and in time that love becomes more of a brotherly/sisterly love for the person who's not "In Love" which is not healthy nor fair to neither one, we tell them we love them because we do but not as man/woman which is so wrong, therefore one wants out to find themselves or figure out what's going on.
Even in marriages of over 30 yrs these things happen when there is no "mutual" bond (in love) in the relationship.
In my opinion, "true" love is indeed for ever but without the mutual bond is only love nothing more.
So sad but I know exactly what I'm talking about or what I'm trying to say here. TRUST ME!

Yes sensual latin i think you got that right! It,s the way she didnt let me know her true feeling,s that really hurt the most. She wants to be best freinds but how do you do that with someone who lied /cheated and decieved you after 30 yrs. and 3000 miles away. any opinion there?  :
