Hello, I'm a musician and composer who lives in Arizona (back-and-forth between Prescott and Phoenix). I have some opportunities to do paying shows, but am having a hard time finding youthful, talented, musically open-minded musicians in my area who actually want to get paid. It seems that most musicians just want to do music for fun, on the side, not seriously. Too bad, because I have people (and even two record companies, outside of the US) who would like to hire/sign me, and pay me money, but I keep having to tell them "no" because the musicians I know are just not serious enough about music to actually do music as a job and get paid for it. I posted another topic here earlier and didn't get a single response. So, I'm trying again.
What I'm looking for:
*Single musicians, no kids, nothing tying them down. We can't tour if you are chained to your location and can only go places every now and then for a brief vacation.
-Under 30 years old is preferable. Even small record companies look at my age as a potential liability. So, I would like band members record companies would be interested in.
*Open-minded about music. If you are a one-genre-only fanatic, and can't appreciate varous sounds, it just isn't going to work. I do a fusion of acoustic folk, world, hard rock, punk, and electronica. These sounds interact and inter-mix and interchange. The songs themselves are largely written for popular appeal, musically.
*You cannot be a God-hater, or a Christ-hater. Many of the people who are interested in my music are Christians, and want to hire me for Christian venues. Others are not. This is business, so please think with the same intellectual flexibility and tolerance that you would have in any business. In retail business, would you turn away customers because of their religious views, and tell them that you don't want their business? Probably not. It would be really dumb.

The only people who don't seem to know that musical talent IMPROVES WITH AGE are industry execs. In what other business is experience considered a bad thing? Okay, politics, but besides that.

Well I know because I've played with you. I play drums as you know. I'd love to travel with you but, my age doesn't let me do that. If the record companies don't want people after 30, the they wouldn't like me at 75.

Hi, great to see you here! You know you're invited to travel with me anywhere, anytime (to hell with what record companies think).
I have a pretty good feeling that I'll have to continue going solo and independent. You can see how many people are just JUMPING at this golden opportunity.

So... next summer I hit the road no matter what. This summer I wanted to travel with some specific people (you know who they are), and that didn't pan out, so HERE I AM still in Arizona, acting domesticated. But next year, I'm going, with or without any travel partners. So, IF ANYONE WANTS TO DO A GYPSY CARAVAN around the country, let me know. My first stop will be Oregon, and after that, who knows. Non-Arizonans are welcome to connect with me wherever they like. Again, don't ask me where I'm going, I'm an adventurer! Suggestions are welcome.

Im from indiana but i down..i make music cause its my passion and i love doin it and dont care if i ever make a penny off of it and dont do it for the money but it dont mean i aint gonna accept a offer lol or im not to reach that point..yeah i wanna get paid for my music that way i can do it 24/7 and gotta worry bout a job or bills..music is all i do all day everyday and no matter how great a song i make is its never good enough for me so im always strivin to make it better..im my biggest critic..so yeah im down..im a rapper though but i got clean stuff and its good..I droped a local debute in 2008 and sold a 1,000 units at 10.00 a peice..how can i send u a song for u to hear to at least give me a chance..appreciate your time sir
