Please pray for me. I woke up this morning with really bad lower back pain. I caved and took a pain pill and the pain is better. Very often, I will wake up with it and it will go away after a few hours.

I guess some people may think I am bitter toward God for allowing pain to come back. But, no I am not. I have been truly blessed by being completely pain free for several months. My pain is in my hip area. I am feeling this, though intense at times, is a minor thing in comparison to what I have had in the past so I won't make a big deal over it. I will address it at my next doctor's visit and see what he has to say.

I have posted a couple of prayers on here. I pray as type. But no, Utah. Everyone should pray themselves, and in their own way. That is actually a very private time between you and the Lord. I am praying for Joni. But at home, in quiet.
But thanks for your kind words.

There are a lot here on DH who need prayer.
Lots of groups have a lot of unrest.
People getting angry over an opinion. It's sad.
People have opinions, and the right to them.
People being blocked for stating their opinion, is just wrong.
Just because the opinion is not popular with the consensus
doesn't mean that they should be blocked.
After all, DH rules state that blocking should be
only used as a last resort. It's not a game. It is a very serious thing.

Thanks cat! I agree puppy, it should be a last resort and only to get people that are a long term problem, not just for a disagreement. There is just cause for the woman in the widow's group, but someone should not be blocked for having a difference of opinion.

I ask that you all pray for Mom. She made her choice. She is not getting a transplant.
But God, who is not ruled by time, or space, can heal her. He may be going to. As I said to some friends of ours last night, He may be healing her as we speak. If it is His will to heal her, or He may do so in a manner in which it will be a witness and an impact on a lot of lives. If not, I still pray that it be His will not ours, be done.

Joni, I do not worry about who is upset with me over my opinions anymore. I pray for them. I still count them friends, even if they don't count me one anymore. After all, there may be things going on in their lives, causing lots of stress. I do not know. But I trust them in God's hands for their safety and care.

No, Joni. I knew pretty much from day one what her decision would be. We discussed it.
She and I agree about transplants. But it had to be her decision. She made it. I approve, as does my sister.

We thought a lot of your Dad. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Remember, he will always be with you, in your hearts, and in your memories.

Just hold each other close, and realize how much he loved you.
He spoke of you here in SWD. You all were the light of his life.
Your love for him, and his for you kept him going for a long time.

We are always here if you need us. Feel free to come here and talk if you need to.
We all are here for you.

Today we say good bye to our dear friend Wrecker. He fought a long
and hard battle. We have had many 4am chats when he had those spurts
of energy or we would laugh we both were up to go potty. He was a friend
that I never met but who touched a place in my heart and left a beautiful
memory forever. I thank God you are at peace now and I will pray for your
family. We've talked and you know they are safe in his arms and he will
guide and protect them. Peace my brother and Love. ms

Please pray for Deanna and the family right now. She just e-mailed me and said that her grandmother had him cremated and there will be no service. She is taking it hard. She feels that this is not what he would have wanted. I told her to be assured that he would not be there anyway and there are times in our lives when we do not have control over what is done. I am thinking she will keep in touch.

Good for you, Joni ! I know of no law that would prevent Deanna and her sibilings from contacting a minister or other spiritual leader and organizing a small, informal service in memory of their dad.

They could invite grandma and friends - anyone you would expect to see at the service and have it! They don't have to get anyone's permission and I tell ya what - If Gary is somehow observing, he's feeling mighty proud that his children would do that for him!

Please let her know that because Gary was our family, she's our family too.

Also let her know that Aunt Judith is proud of her for wanting the service. I think most of us would need that for closure.

That's absolutely right. Have a large photo, and some photo boards.
He is looking down and is so very proud of those kids!
They have the right to a memorial service, they are his children after all.
Children have a lot more sense than a lot of adults give them credit for.

Oh puppy you hit the nail on the head!

This is simply too important an event for those children to be deprived of their chance to say goodbye to their dad.

I know that if I, along with anyone else in this group, can help, we want to do just that!

If I were there, I'd help all I could, as I know we all would.
It would also be nice to pay our respects to someone as dear as he was.
It's hard enough on an adult to lose their Dad, but for a child to lose their parent.

Yes, Joni, please let them know we are all on their side.

I am requesting prayer for all of my friends. I have friends who are hurt, friends who have loved ones who are ill, friends with deaths in the family, and so forth. I just want everyone to pray that God bless them, and keep them in His divine care. That whatever hurts and resentments there may be, whatever illnesses, just whatever may be going on in their lives, that God will turn it all into a positive, That if they lost a loved one, that God touch their hearts and bring the peace and knowledge that they'll see that loved one again. That any feelings of anger be blown away, like the seeds of a dandelion, in a brisk breeze.

My mom has something that could be cancer and even if it's not it apparently requires surgery regardless. Main thing I've ever worried about was my parents having something happen or me having something happen to myself and so I'm worried how to even deal with it even though i hope it will turn out ok. My dad had cancer and a heart attack at various times and seems to eb doing ok. But my mom has this and also is diabetic.

Loved your prayer.Reminded me of this scripture.

James 4:7 KJV
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:8 KJV
Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; purify your hearts, ye double-minded.

Quote from shyimp:
Aww Jason, I hope things go well for your mom. At least she knows what it is now. The sooner it's out the better.

Well as you know now her surgery went well and hopefully it ahdn't spread, although she's waiting on test results so I'm a bit worried.

However, my cousin has apparently been given only a month or few months to live. Hopefully it will turn out ok. Every once in a while people asre told that and get through it.

Please keep us informed, flame. We care.

Also, keep Mom in prayer, as with her liver so bad, she cannot take meds. even over the counter ones. She is having pain in her feet, and although we keep muscle rub on them, she still hurts. Folks, prayer is the key. To all that is wrong.
