My MD (manufacturer's defect) is MS. I don't know much about the kind of injury you had, but I know there are others in this group who have the same thing and I know they will be a great support to you.

 I'm appreaciate your quick responce. I just found the chat and post for people with disabilities. This is the kind of support folks with disabilities need. That's kinda what I mean people in the regular run of life don't allways understand or just want to take their time. I give of myself to others sometimes I become a ball & chain to people.

most of us here, and I would probably say all of us, didnt choose what we have, they were given to us by Father Time. Another struggle in the path of life. Do we stop at the road blocks or detour around?

I detour, I keep pushing myself. I too find that when some one finds out I could be crippled later in life and need help walking, they shy away. Everyone seems to think, Oh that wont ever happen to me, Im going to retire and live life to the fullest. Ok, good for them, but I can live life to the fullest too. I may get there a little slower, but I will get there. I KNOW Im not the hare in the race, but remember who won? The turtle, and THAT, is me.

Most/all of us here are fighters, we dont give into whatever it is we have. If someone chooses to turn away from me, so be it, how little of a person does that make them?

If you choose to post here with us, you will find some of THE most compassionate people around on any site. Stay, relax and enjoy.. its why we are here..to support.

 Miles, I can certainly understand what you are saying. I have a history of mental illness as one of my manufacturer's defects and while I am ready to jump back into life because it is no longer an issue, I am finding that people will not let go of it. I too lost my marriage, because of this, and can't even make things up with him, he died. My brother will not even contact me at all. I have tried to reach out to him and make him understand that I am better, but he chooses to ignore me.

We are here to support you in any way we can. We have serious discussions but we also have fun here too, so welcome to the group!

I agree Utah- I would say that we are a "few chosen ones"- not everybody get to be like "us".
