Ok, come on now. Yes. Looks are nice. But...(and ladies put your two cents in here)..
If you date a drop dead hunk, number one, he knows it so you never have to tell him... number two, every other woman on earth notices and you have to wipe the drool off of him. (this is aggravating)
Number three, he believes the grass is always greener and is always mowing someone elses yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just cant say that I would date a troll!

Looks are not that important to me. I kind of like a larger man. If they are too goodlooking they are usually full of themselves. JMO

looks fade over time but we all know that if you feel you can't make love to someone without putting a paper bag over their head then i'd have to say they count for something..i'd never base my relationship on looks alone, but their has to be some attraction physically as well as emotionally for me..

At my age looks means less then they did when I was in my 30's and even less now then when in my 20's. Stability especially the mental kind has taken a front burner status to looks these days for me.

My formulas for the chemistry that attracts me has changed though the years. People often mistake chemistry for love. But jumping ahead into great sex may result in intimacy that’s limited. So many times there just isn’t any foundation beyond sizzling attraction and when that fades – there’s not much left to work with. Solid long-term relationships are built on getting to know each other through a variety of shared experiences. And that takes time and a partner with similar values and goals, who is willing to work through the inevitable relationship bumps.

Here is some advice: If you happen to meet a nice guy who seems to have many of the qualities you desire, but falls a bit short on chemistry, cut him some slack. Get to know him better so you can appreciate who he really is and discover the kind of attraction that builds with time. For a lasting loving partnership, consider throwing chemistry out of the window, and vetting prospects based on qualities that have more meaning for the long haul.

So, here is a question that really should be asked for the ladies; How has using looks or chemistry as the sole factor for selecting a man served you thus far?

I will admit, that to a point yes, it matters. I am looking for someone that takes care of who they are. I am not saying that they have to be Dropdead gorgeous, eyecandy, nor do they need to have a 6pk ab. What I am saying is do they shower regularly? Do they take care of themselves? Do they take pride in who they are? Do they like who they are, because if they don't how can I?

I have seen some beautiful heavier people that are knockouts because they take care of themselves. I have also seen some great eye candy that made me want to hurl. Since they didn't take care of themselves.

So does looks matter some yes. They play a factor in my life does that make me shallow maybe to some But oh well.
