it seems to be, that with the information era and the info war that the folks above 40-45 now think that they are right no matter the topic..... anyone over this age feels that if they personally experienced something that a younger is talking about, they as the older automatically have the most knowledge about whatever the topic is... in most cases i have seen the oldheads talk all kinds of trash and say anything they can say to make the younger feel or seem uneducated. the olders seem to use a tactic that is a form of dictatorship rather than a form of teaching. the olders in most cases rely on what THEY themselfs have learned over 10-20 years ago when information was booming but still at such a small status to say what is what. and most never go to "re-educate" themselfs on the topics they seem so educated on. When the hell does a doctor or a lawyer get retested????? they dont, but their fields are changing everyday with the information their youngers are bringing to the table. i find that most old heads use their age solely as grounds for knowing more when infact they dont even know if what they are talkinng about is true or false, as in even if the topic of debate exists.

i find that open minded old heads and educated young folks see that today is better informed than yesterday..... one example would be..... i was speaking with an out spoken aldut (45-50 years old) this evening who thinks everything they say is right because they think they heard it from a source that is so concreate (according to them) it has to be true....

knowledge...... it comes one of two ways.... you pay for it or you acquire it..... in either case it could be wrong... and with history, it's proven to be wrong

ITS FUNNY HOW WE HAVE TO RENEW OUR DRIVERS LICENSES BUT A DOCTOR OR LAWYER HAS THEIR LICENSE (WHICH AFFECTS HUMAN LIVES) THEIR ENTIRE LIFE PROVIDED THEY PASS THEIR LAST EXAM
BEFORE GIVEN THEIR LICENSE....

any takers on this?

Doctors don't care because when they make amistake they just bury it.

Someday you will be 45-50 . Remember this post and see how you feel then. It would be interesting

I received my last bachelor's degree in December of 09. (That'd be nine months ago.)

When did you get your last degree oh higher educated one?

And for your information, doctors and most medical staff in the state of Georgia
are required to attend a certain amount of educational "refresher" courses to
stay current on all practices and technologies.

Lawyers have to stay current because the law is constantly in flux and changing.

So tell me how you're higher and better educated than these people that
spend their entire lives constantly learning and keeping up with advances
in their fields?

I just refuse to engage in absurd discussions, but for general information, physicians must attend continue medical education hours in order to renew his/ her license, which in most states is every 2 to 3 years. Most health care workers such as nurses, PA's, NP's, and DMD have to do the same thing. What this guy is posting about it does not make any sense.

To whom it may concern: When I was younger i enjoyed speaking with elder people(the ones you call old heads).I have always found the more you LISTEN the more education you obtain. And is it your place to keep telling these ppl they are wrong. I'm guessing you have been appointed DH finger pointer. Please do us a favor stop trying to start arguments with every one.

renewing or keeping a license works the same for MANY industries. there is even such a thing as a licensed interior designer. i'm not licensed because i would have to work for 4 years under a licensed designer then take the NCIDQ. after that, i would need to attend so many classes each year to keep the license.

some people are just "know it alls". they come in all ages!

Well he was right about information being easier to access today.

But, I find his stance that people whom can actually access scientific journals
and data bases due to their affiliation with institutions of higher learning
still being less informed than he is because they are over the age of 30 an idiotic argument when compared to the statement about information being easier to find.

Older people aren't always right. Younger people aren't always wrong.

But a lot of us old heads have "been there done that"
Shrooms haven't changed in 20 yrs. They still grow in the same places.
Pot hasn't suddenly appeared. It was here 20 yrs ago too (and it was a damn sight cheaper then too.)
Alcohol still tastes the same.

It's just that what is all wonderful and new the to younger generation is stuff we have already done.
We've already flipped a car 16 times on I-10 in Houston while laughing at the dancing monkeys on the hood.

We've been there. We've learned from our mistakes and adventures.
Listen, don't listen, that is your choice.

I can learn new things as well as anyone as long as I am exposed to it. I have seen you over and over thru different generations and you are nothing new, just recycled to a different generation. "Shrooms" as you call it is nothing new, just another fad that came along under a different name like mini skirts. Different generation, different slang, still the under educated egotistical stuck in the mud "I found my drug, the establishment is against me" pot head, shroom head, alcoholic that I will be supporting with taxes after their burn out leads them to the disability line. All you have to do is check your spelling, man. Grade school failure who thinks he knows a lot about a little bit of nothing involving self medicating which most of us passed through many years ago. Now you try to diss the established practices put in place to govern hallucinating idiots like your self and your self indulging escape drug. There are plenty of your kind around to observe many years later after their self edifying oral prognostications after the fact with their extreme social shortcomings and minimal contributions to society. Here's you a quick one for EMT/paramedics/cardiac technician recertification.

The Emergency Medical Services Section provides services mandated by the Official Code of Georgia Annotated Title 31, Chapter 11, the Georgia Department of Human Resources Rules and Regulations Chapter 290-5-30, and Georgia Health Code 88-31 to license, re-license, and monitor Ambulance Services, Medical First Responders, and Neonatal Transport Services; approve training course curriculum and requirements for the licensure and re-licensure of Technicians (EMT-B) and (EMT-I), and Paramedics and the re-license only of Cardiac Technicians (CT).

its not hard to find ---> emt.ga.gov/

ok, when bad mouthing the "oldheads" tiz always much more impressive when you can actually "SPELL" THE DAMN WORDS *LOL*
Tiz a tad tough to tout your brilliance when you are not bright enough to even use spell check..

I just finished my SECOND Bachelors degree (July 2010).
So dang, you must be wrong ..........again........*shakes head*

When you post stupid shit like this, it does NOT help your case.

Let me help you

Lesson #1 oldheads are nothing more than older children. Some are great and some are stupid, petty and mean.........

Age has nothing to do with being a dumb-ass, blanket statements, uninformed opinions and poorly stated comments coupled with poor spelling and lousy grammar are what makes the dumb-asses.

I see you......

I like being an old head.

It means I can remember when acid was supposed to enlighten your mind and set you free.
Then it was LSD...
then shrooms...
then opium...
then hash...
ecstasy...
coke...
crank...
crack...

It's sad that all those "enlightened" people are now called the uneducated old heads.

A quick question for Joden Oldhead.

How long would it take for your addled, uninformed, and uneducated ancient brain to write a program for a computer driven lathe to produce a drum stick?
And then have it continue producing them at the rate of lets just say for the heck of it.... 60 an hour?

As far as I know there is no recertification requirements for lawyers.

I do have a couple of buds that are lawyers and just the constant need to remain on top of the bubble and new rulings keeps them constantly in the books and digging on the web.

The inspiration of the house payment is what drives them. If they don't know their stuff and don't win cases then they stop getting paid.

The question wasn't a matter of rate of production.

Was a question of ability to set up the CNC and have that production rate.
Even by an uninformed oldhead with only 2 computer degrees and no shrooms.

Well what you do is take the small special ed bus and stick a mowing deck underneath it
then you have a rough idea of the monster that Chris now owns. It's so big it has a real in the body gas tank. Not some little plastic gallon thing under the hood.
It's not a lawnmower. Its a lawntank.
