I, too, had to work and also came home to an empty house. Uh, not quite as empty as I had left it this a.m. when I went to work. There was a big bird flying around , in fact diving at me in my kitchen. Talk about freeking out!!! It wouldn't even let me get to the phone to call 911 (not really). So Maggie and I got in the car and went to the police station. As I pulled in I saw a truck next to me that said "Marion City Animal Contol Officer". BINGO
This young lady came to my house and helped me to get this bird out of the house. The bird's "significant other" was really pissed at the one in the house because it was circling the house and raising a fuss. When the ACO got the bird out of the house the bird just flew to the tree in the front yard and sat there. It's sig other flew around and around, boy was it pissed.

Got off work at 730 am - took a two hour nap and then drove two hours to drop off my daughter at her dad's and then drove two hours back. Nothing exciting.

Busy day - spent some time with roadside assistance replacing a damaged tire from a pothole, then met some friends for dinner! Have a good weekend everyone - keep warm!

I'm blessed to have two of my six Grandchildren living in Illinois (about 5 min. away), so the oldest (age 4) and Grammy baked and decorated Valentine Cookies for her Pre-school party today (her baby sister, age 1 "supervised"! LOL!); we had a ball! Then she gave Grammy the beautiful Valentine she had made just special for me. It was a fantastic Valentines Day!
