Okay, boys and girls, now that we're old enough, and probably celibate enough - by choice, or not  ...
How would you describe the difference between having sex and making love? 
D'oh! Meant to post this in the 40's group forum, but it'll do here too. I'll be re-posting it there.

Good question...so many answers...
Having sex for me can be with anyone I choose.
Making love is also the one whom chooses me........ 
Ok, that might not of came out right, but the fact is, sex is a self gratification, while making love is gratification more than just a roll in the hay. Feellings are involved as well.

Yes, I believe there's a great difference. "Having sex" is a physical act with physical reactions but "making love" is beyond the realm of physical contact. Sexual interaction is something wonderful to enjoy but "making love" is something to experience. No words can describe lovemaking and no one can capture or package it. That's the difference!
"Having sex" can be filmed, described, sold, packaged and even justified but making love is outside of everything. It transports you to another place. Sex is momentary but lovemaking touches the eternal.
Given a choice I believe most people crave lovemaking but settle for having sex. Perhaps not a popular opinion but I believe it to be true.

let me give this a shot if you answer mine i posted in il well i dont think i ever made love in il. i have been in california since i was 18 back here 1 year feb 1 2008 but i think what i did at that time in il the 2 years i was sexually active. i think i looked at girls women anyone that was female as a object that needed to have these orifices that were made to be lubricated. and i was more then happy to supply this specisl lubricsnt as often and with as many that i could talk into needing it done or the ones that asked i also did this chore with a smile and eagerness t have been divorced have a 16 year old girl that will ask me anything and after being here 1 year she decided she is not dating untill we go back to california.
Now i have a young woman that has lived through hell and there is nothing she will not do for me nor i for her if it came right down to it if we were being attacked i would have to be dead before i let something happen to her. i was trained to fight and possibly die for my country after yesterdays primary results that is void if mrs C becomes head of country i pray for the unborn bush is currently doing damage mr c with nafta gave free trade you take our jobs pay less in labor and the items cost more now there is a higher freight bill.
but now i making love is fo sure planned 1 time a week we stay in a hotel and what we do at home we call bonus night and that takes 2 hours. but our nights we go away is like 12 hours of forplay but now in any way either of us wants we discuss everything and tell each other how what if off a bit give direction lik a little lower ,slower hsrder faster what ever we talk and what ever we need to do to each other or to have pleasure its done over and overand kissing i kiss her all the time and her me i am willing to bet i kiss her longer and in places on one of our planned msking love night then i did in a week or more when i was 18 and i have a special lsy down and relax 2 hr minimum where its all for her she can lsy back an i will do things to her that produce pleasure over and over and when its time to sleep. we just fiss and get in the spoon position and literly in 10 minutes she as passed out with a smile and depending who wakes up first they are the alarm the wake the other by winding there clock untill it goes off than the other plaw winder untill we here another alarm and iys check out time and driving home we tease each other you get the idea i dont think i can be graphic here but for 12 hours we do nothing but take care of each other in any way wished period and we both start talking about how good it felt and decide where to go next week!!111
