I am wondering why it is so hard for some people to admit when they are wrong about something? I have met people who when realizing that they just might have been wrong about something instead of admitting that or saying a simple I am sorry ect. they will strike out at others. Why is that?

shalah, I believe that is from an insecure feeling, deep inside of them. It is easier to blame it on someone else, for them, than to simply say I am sorry, and take necessary steps to correct or ease the situation.

Little Sister, you are on a roll today.

I love your fresh sweet attitude.

On a similar note, how can you differentiate between those who merely will not ADMIT they are wrong - from those, like myself, who never ARE wrong??? JUST KIDDING!!! If I had a BRAIN... my head would RATTLE!!!!

Its possible that THEY don't accept or realize that they are wrong ?? Or maybe as opposed to continuing to argue a point they've just said "Pffft"?? Its usually because two opposite positions are stubborn....and they're both right partially.

Shalah, From what I've seen here, to admit you are wrong would be to end the arguement, and without that there would be no excitement and end of thread.......JMO

Funny you should bring this up ... I just got through dealing with an issue about this last night... started bout a week ago.. and last night they said they never did or said that... self denial..happens a lot with people that don't like to be wrong... nothing bad about being wrong... its part of life...whats wrong for one can be right for another

I think that many times the speaker or the person in action is coming from a wholely different thought or reacting to something that the hearer or recipient is unaware of... this makes for misunderstandings. Many times if we were to come back with ............when you said this or did that then it made me feel like this or that.........the response would be .........oh I didnt mean it that way ...what I was saying or reacting to was this ..........problem solved

no one should ever be wrong in one's opinion, esp if they can back it up without a troop stepping in against a differing opinion esp if there is suppose to be always two answers/opinions or whatever to any thread, discussion or conversation--when it's about being closed-minded, agreeing to one opinion or a thread, some are looking to stir the attention for one point of view, ignoring or not inviting different opinions, you tell me what's wrong there, it's not american way or does anyone really think they own anything showing it's only a one-sided thread/ suppose to be an inviting thread and such threads have two points of view as do political parties too...why should anyone again admit when they are wrong, if they are just offering a post different then the group has...see that's when, how and where schitt happens esp on this site because many will sit in front of their PC/laptop and hide behind it too, saying whatever comes to their mind...what if such people that act like this on their PC/laptop were to meet in person, could it be any worst????--
