I'm a swf 52 had two bad relationships but the one that was my heart and soul, my companion, that i felt complete with died 2 years ago. Now I am having a hard time finding someone to spend the rest of my life with so I'm not lonely, Someone to be my friend, my companion, my love. I don't go to bars, where do you meet a nice guy. Tell me is it possible to fall in love again or will I spend the rest of my life alone and happy rather than in love and happy?

Think about what some of your interests are and find places that offer those interests.

YOU WILL BE IN LOVE AGAIN
Girl don't stay stuck in the house and if you see someone you would like to get to know, walk up to them and say " Hello ".
That's what I do, besides making friends online. It's just one avenue to get to meet people. For me I'm too darn busy otherwise.
Online is great. You can make appointments and no one gets angry about it.  ))

Yes, it is possible to love twice. I loved both my late husbands.To combat the loneliness get out and volunteer!!! I volunteer ta the hospital and enjoy meeting new people.

yes...I was widowed at 31.My husband and 2 children died in car accident.I met a new man a few years later and was told I was to old for more children Then OOOPSSY...miracle baby at 38.So here i am 40 with 18 month old.Divorcing now and looking for 3rd love.I believe in miracles and so should u.

what is wrong with alone and happy for now? i'm doing it and its GOOD...AND you can fall in love many times!!!!!!!! don't worry about finding someone to spend the rest of your life with...since you've had two bad relationships, work on being YOU w/o a man and perhaps you will make better choices in the future...

You can fall in love many times--more than twice---I fall in love daily w/ my creator--When you love someone--everyday is a new day--a new beginning. but in order to fall in love you have to let go of resentment and doubt. True love will always mirror back what you send out--but return w/ more.

Yes, I've been in love more that twice. I agree with missmatch, fall in love many times but stay single for awhile. I've had a couple of bad marriages and then jumped right into dating without taking time to breathe. It didn't work for me...

I don't know. I feel like you do. I beleive that it is possible to fall in love and to have a REAL love relationship...a best friend and lover...in your spouse.
But I also know that real love is rare. It can only be shared with someone who knows what love is, it's nature and who is willing to give it the necessary essentials to make it grow. For two people to be each other's best freind and lover, both people must know what it is. I'm afraid that many people simply equate sex with love, or alternatively, they value their own happiness more than love. Sex and love are not equivalent. Sex is easy. Real love is difficult. When a man loves his lady, he may have to undergo a grueling ordeal in order to try to help her. Love isn't always fun. But it is always worth it.
The statistics are not in the favor of the women as they get older. At age 50, at least in Maryland, the number of single women to single men is 3 to 1. The statistics don't get any better for the ladies as the age increases.
Yes, it is very possible to fall in love twice...three times..even more. But if you find real love with a man who loves you back with real love...HOLD ONTO HIM. Real love is rare. The statistics are that only 5% of all marriages are between two spouses who are each other's best friend and lover. It is great to have that kind of relationship...but it is difficult to seed, nuture and grow.
In spite of the odds, please keep trying. Love is what life is all about.

i gave bad examples, the people i chose didn't succeed in maintaining the love they found, but they did find love more than once. i don't think it helps when people (usually men) write stories and articles about women having trouble finding love past whatever age, (and the age keeps getting younger). yea i know some people will think because of my age i shouldnt have an opinion; but i see these stories all around, i hear people talking about it and i think it has a negative influence.
at the same time the statistics show that lots of women in the USA remarry after divorce or being widowed; or even marry for the first time at later ages. in china there are a lot of divorces now after the men find wealth in the new booming economy. after the disappontment many of the women want to fall in love again, and they're looking for partners even though past traditions were against that.
