So, when looking for a companion I've found alot of the people in my area, alot of people in their teens and early twenties, have kids.
Don't get me wrong I love kids but I believe that children are something that you should have at a later stage in your life. If your sure a child is what you want you need to be sure that that person is the one for you. Divorce is one of the worst things that I believe you can do to a child. (unless there are serious reasons ie. abuse)
So when I see someone separated from what they though was the one for them; I see someone who jumped the line, and someone who didn't know what they wanted. Someone I cannot see myself being with because it something that actually repulses me. I just can't see myself being with "two people".
I would like one person in my life in the beginning. Not "two". Am I naive for thinking like this and does anyone else feel this way?

FP, you are so young ...
If you don't want a partner with kids, everyone would understand.
You have to "live some life" yet, for yourself.
18 is just the beginning.
If you still don't have a companion, like when you are 30,
then think about someone with children.
By then, you may even enjoy 'em !
Have some fun, kids tend to settle you down.
Just be patient. There is someone out there for everyone.
