I have to go with Virginia as my son and grandchildren live there.
My son that lives with me worked for Jiffy Lube in Virginia years ago.He worked part time on the Hardee car.He has been to many nascar races.I asked him this morning if Bristol was big enough to play football and he said yes ,The infield is big enough to put in a football field,it would be a lot of work, but possible.

We had a sargeant in the army that would raise your bed about 2 feet in the air then drop it onto the floor. That would wake you up if you were still asleep.

USN & USMC have this restriction. I am not completely certain that it applies to USAF & USA.

OH my this salute thingy , needs to be straightened out , first the mention of troops awakening to a D.I.or other instructor's , wake up call , was as Wilbur ( nearly ) said " Drop yer C*cks & grab yer Socks " his was to polite .. bless his dear soul. & the refernce to the salute was first to the erections of said troops standing tall in early hours of Revile ,not to superior officers nor certainly not to Non Commisioned Officers Cpls, Sgts, ... now that's explained , the official regulations in The Army & Air force ( I have no idea as to Naval & Marine Corps regs, ) but Soldiers & Airmen , when reporting to an Commisioned or Warrant officer you removed yer cap then addressed said officer & saluted him or her. , but if you were wearing a web gun belt , or with a holstered weapon , you kept yer cap on & saluted . now is this clear ? God bless you who have & are serving & those who loved the ones who did & now are serving in our Armed forces , here & abroad.

In the marines you do not wear a cover[cap] indoors, and you do not salute when not wearing a cover. You wear a cover at all times when outside and salute when you are wearing a cover.I remember one time i was going in a building just as an officer was coming out,i had allready removed my cover and wasn't sure what to do so i saluted. He said ,don't you know marine that you do not salute when not wearing a cover.
I was in the air Force 5 years too,but don't remember the policy. You are probably right fish.

I think the rules of the club are that everyone has to salute Ante.

HEY CAROLINA GIRL---Knows the score Boys....Men are little Boys wanting their Momma to still wait on them ---and WOMEN ARE FOOL ENOUGH TO DO IT..
....Don't want no woman to wait on me. If she wants to do something for me, that is fine. I was always lucky and made a real good living so my former wife never had to work. One time she decided she wanted to work so i told her to go ahead. I worked night and she worked day shift. When i got up in the morning,i alway ran the vacum cleaner, cleaned the bathroom, washed any dirty clothes we had, so all she had to do when she came in was fix her and my son some supper and wash the dishes. I am a believer that when both work, they should chip in and both do the housework.

It's good to know how to do all those things. Wish I would have learned how to work on the plumbing and fix the car. I wouldn't have to spend money on these things now.

As I said before, Relationships or Marriage is best when each partner works together. This doesn't mean I won't do Special things for my Man. That is called "Love".

Don't you wonder how some are married 50 years or more.

One year several years ago, my car was broke down so me and my son took a greyhound to Mrytle Beach Sc. Driving time in a car, about 6 hours and 15 minutes. Took us 14 hours on the bus. Never again.

I think fish went to the dog races in Wheeling W.V and is trying to catch a greyhound. The dogs are much faster than the busses.

If i remember correctly wasn't Trailways the big bus company in the south?

Wilber--We had a bus station here for years and Greyhound was here and in Georgia when I was "young" but as years passed it changed to Trailways and is still a station in Johnson city....but we haven't had one here for years of either....BE just like the Fish to be chasing a greyhound.....I LOVE HORSE RACING BUT NEVER SAW A DOG RACE......
.... Wilbur, when Ante was young, they had horses and buggies to take you where you were going.

In Amish country in Central pa. they still travel by horse and buggy.Read in the paper once that a man was pulled over by the police for driving his horse and buggy while drunk.
Horse and buggys were before my time, but i can remember my father saying his dad owned the livery stable in town and he could get lots of dates because he could get a horse and buggy anytime he wanted.
I also like watching horse races.Been to the dog races a few times, but they go so fast you can't keep track of them.

..... Where do you get that rich boy stuff from. Used an outside toilet til 1962. Didn't have a hot water heater til 1956. Didn't have an electric stove in kitchen til 1957. Didn't have a TV til 1957. Took a bath in a number 3 washing tub til 1961.
