Get him into art school----he is really good and could make a living very easily doing whatever he wanted. School heightens his abilities and gives him a broader scope on art in general and in detail.

Great stuff!!

Very nice--I have been a pro firefighter for 35 years--but I had a sign business on my days off. It all started as a talent for drawing with a pencil--in school and that really caused my teachers to be dismayed at my lack of attention in class. I would rather draw what they were talking about---my imagination would run wild in History class or when the subject was other countries. I developed a memory from all this--I could anything from my MIND'S EYE---people were amazed at the details I could put on paper--friends wanted picrures of cars--I could do cars from memory ---at any angle. I hung at sign shops and learned the sign painting business--I did a specialty---I lettered town watertowers--150 to 200 feet above the ground on scaffolds or bosun chairs--10 foot high letters. I did building walls--I did huge works--figured them all in my mind. In The Air Force I did murals on walls in Chow Halls and other office buildings--planes in flight like you were seeing them from the air. That was all just to pass time--I had a terrific ability to see these things in my mind. I did lettering for years--a nice way to spend my days off. I now do illustrations for the US Postal Service--they use my art on envelops for FIRST DAY OF ISSUE STAMP sales. The art is often famous aircraft or warships--i did circus pictures--vehicles--whatever they wnat. It all started as pencil sketching as a kid. I still work the firehouse and I still rely on art to be stress relief.

WOW, being an artist myself, I am really impressed with these. He has great talent! And is paying close attention to detail and shadowing. I agree that schooling would be great if for nothing else but to help him be recognized as an artist and get a good paying job doing what he loves. I wish a hundred times over that I had been able to do that. Keep up the GREAT work!!! You are a very talented artist.

Your son has a great talent.

Having owned 3 art stores & instruction schools in WA & OR, I found my best art teachers got even better when they taught. Some of my best instructors had no "degrees or credentials", but many happy students. Most importantly, cleaning up other people's messes allowed them to discover new ways, insights, and grow themselves.
