This is a sign made of 1/8" stainless steel. The flames are sand blasted and the word areas have been grained. Meaning: (sanding marks are in the same direction) in this case, left to right.
Please compare the sign to the next post with the background on it. tell me if the background needs changed please. Critique away. Hope I spelled that right.

My opinion: The first one is too bland but the silver stands out well. The second one is too busy and is hard on the eyes. Why not a black background? Silver and black go well together.

firstlight I'm sorry I didn't make things very clear there. the first sign is the sign only, just laying on a table.

In the case the posts get seperated, The second post is labeled "harley sign"
firstlight, how about if I put a black behind the sign only and leave the border with the flames? or should I just get rid of the flames all together?

The sign needs to have a solid background color....I agree with firstlight....the second is very hard on the eyes and it was hard to make out what the sign says

After looking at both, yes get rid of the flames, to busy. A black velet back ground would look nice, black would bring out the silver. Hope that helps.

Dude, I'm with the others on this, you need the blackest, plainest background you can find.
Also, how much creative control do you have with your lighting? All the light seems focused towards the center, maybe if you could make it evenly distributed across the entire surface.
It looks like a great piece of work, good job dude!

Pictures don't really do this sign justice. There is a lot of fine grinding work done with a dremel tool on some of the flame tips that cannot be seen in the pictures. In the picture above, the piece of metal has a slight bow in it before it was mounted to the wood with the background attatched. That is why you see the light centered on the piece.
As I have said in earlyer posts, I plan to change the background and repost the pictures some time this week. Hopfully I'll do better this time but, if not, I welcome any comments or criticism.
Thank you, and everyone else for confirming what I thought in the first place.
( The background SUCKS! )
Have a great day!
