That's a good point, I'd say also because many of us older women have already been married before and/or have kids and want someone who is able to handle that with maturity and respect. While not to prelude to your own level of maturity, many younger people, both men and women, are not ready for it and helping to take part in someone else's family is not appealing for very long when they want to party and run around at will. That's my take.

i would hazard a guess that it may just be the topic of the conversation. if youre "looking to get some" it may be a turn off.....just being a friend may be another story.

I think most women (older women) draw the line at a certain age. Usually it's if the guy is younger than their own chidren they find it weird. I'm really 52 and LOVE older women I posted an older age so I can attract a woman closer to the age I prefer. I mostly love women about 10 to 15 years older than me but I don't draw a line anywhere because to a certain extent age is just a number.......................believe me when I say most women (no matter what age) love what I love.

I believe that women who actively give and adore getting love are rare... at any age. Most pose; pretend so that their real desires are filled. Desire to have children, social position, wealth (protection)... etc. So when these few mature and all societies limitations are no longer in place they have no inhibitions or shackles to hold them back. I do not think they are on the whole promiscuous... but just like nymphs able to fulfill their own desires without pause.
And… there are men who know this secret, who appreciate the beauty of a truly aroused woman… Who care nothing about her ‘chic’ appearance but are touched deeply by her passion for sensuality, life and real love.
It is indeed a pity that everyone cannot have this attribute… but then the presence of it would not be appreciated as much… and that is the essence of ‘an older woman’. She is rare like an immaculate gem… and she does shine… oh, how she does shines.

Well aside from what else I said... hey I've been looking at a younger guy... but I think he has his sites set on a girl of the same age, I believe in the m/f platonic friends bit but he seems to linger around her, taking breaks together, etc.
I feel like I'm "too old" now, and I don't "compete." You're either interested or you're not.

I think being attracted to younger men is strictly a hormonal thing..
I love younger men.
But as far as a lasting relationship, I think it would have to be one of those rare relationships that work. My sister is married to a man 15 years younger and they have been happy for 15 years, so for some it works.
For me been there, LOL So to each his/her own. I am 50 and a very sensual woman, Happy with who I am and yes older women are more quick to be honest in all aspects of a relationship. It truly is the person not the age.
