yes, go to the Main Library, and get on Datehookup........sorry.....I've lived here all mylife, and I am considering on re-locating to the south, cause I like to fish, and really, when you leave Indiana, and come back home, you say to yourself, or at least I do,"Why do I live here?" There are things to do here, The Indpls 500, Museums, Zoo, theatre, shopping,State Parks are nice, Eagle Creek is very pretty, depends on what you like to do, but, I hope you hooked up with someone to maybe show you around a little bit, to make it more enjoyable....It's Indiana If it was me....I'd go fishing!!!!!load a cooler with beer, some sandwiches, and grab a gal, and have a day of nice...well, what ever....just enjoy the day....thats a good time for me in Indiana Hope you have a nice stay!!!

I can't help you much for fun in INDY (Check out the new COLTS stadium) but I'm here to stick up for Indiana. I have lived here all my life and I like it. Sure it has its bouts of bad weather, but I like that the season's change. I also like being a small town girl.. Maybe we're just easier to please in the small towns (less than 2000).

There are several small colleges in INDY like Butler, they may have some exciting stuff going on.

I've always lived in Indianapolis. Sorry I didn't see this thread before, because there are many great places to go here! Wonderful clubs, if that's your thing. Great restaurants! The Zoo, museums, beautiful new (newly designed) library, too many great places to mention here! I never understand it when people say Indiana is a boring place to be!
I could have given you a list of places to go, and areas where people your age hang out.
But, in all fairness, I don't know anything about the smaller cities, but Indy
rocks!

Holiday World is fabulous! It's a few hours south of Indy, but well worth the trip. It has a super water park, and the amusement park is based on a holiday theme. It's part amusement park, part county fair. Great for couples or families.

Rode the new Legend roller coaster at Holiday World last year - at the time, it held the record for the most air time (the sensation that you're weightless) at 26.9 seconds! It's so cool! You'll be at the top of a hill, and it'll head down, down, down...and it even goes underground to add to the sensation of falling endlessly!

Have fun in Indy!

You can go to Brown County (Nashville, In) , which is about 55 miles southwest of Indy ... that is IF you like to do toursist shopping .. there are tons of shops. I suggest that you buy yourself a "Woodsman Weatherstick" ... the neatest thing youd've ever seen and a great conversation piece AND it really works! ; )
The only other thing you can do is buy a bottle of Tylenol PM's and sleep for that week. There is nothing in Indiana that is worth losing sleep over. This has to be the most boring state !
BTW, IF you should come across something FUN and exciting. please post where it's at. I'm sure there are a lot of us who'd like to know about it. LOL! Good Luck with your visit.

Im from Fort Wayne and I love to visit Indy.
There are alot of great spots, Circle City is a neat place to shop and hit a few bars.
If you are looking for a cool place then hit 'The House of Blues".
They alwways ahve a live band and its as laid back as it gets plus a ton of women.. Downtown Indy has many many different bars and atmospheres, its a good time.
Its the biggest city in the country thats not on a body of water.

I was reading thru the posts, and I had to think about those who are just bashing Indiana. If it is that horrible, then stop your whining andjust move. And please don't let the door hit you where the sun don't shine on your way out.
