but like lyndajo said, what you put out into the universe is what you attract, so if you believe no men are gentlemen, well that is who will find you, the bad boys, the ones who just want sex or to abuse you.

Yes we do! my guy is 5 years younger, just about right for me - I'm done raising kids! my dating rule was the guy had to be at least 10 years older than my oldest child and she is now 33 so he would have to be at least 43!

Other than that....... I don't care, it's the man and the quality of the relationship.
Why put overly restrictive arbitrary limitations on finding a match?
Also don't care if he's taller than me, weighs more, makes more, is better educated....
I'd just like to find a MAN that works for me and I him!

I would think that there are plenty of retired military men in your area for you to chose from. Consider checking out your American Legion and Eagles clubs. I often wish I lived closer to Ft Leonard Wood so I could use my benefits more.
There are VFW's here, actually I ran a veterans club for a time.
I do go for a drink or two once in a while.
I just can't hang out forever in bars lookin like a bar fly looking for drunks to hang out with.
