Just wondering where places are to meet GOOD people...I go out about twice a month, but not looking for datable guys at bars/clubs, just go to have a good time with my girls. It seems some guys are intimidated by independant confident women, just my opinion though. Back to the subject, does anyone have suggestions on where to meet decent guys at?

Church is always an option. A lot of pool halls are "female friendly"...meaning they aren't the smoke filled, grungy places that was the stereotype at one time. And home improvement stores...guys and a lot of women like to visit those places.

The grocery store!! You can tell a lot about someone by what's in the basket, and how they dress in a casual, public place.

I agree on the home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home Depot if your a lady. A lady can walk down the isles and have their pick of guys to tap on the shoulder and ask about a product or how to do something and have his full attention

Hey Y'all! I'm a home stager/decorator so I'm in Lowe's and Home Depot a lot. It hasn't worked for me. I see a lot of men steppin' and fetchin' for a woman who is frowning and pointing. I've thought about asking if they'd like to consider a more amicable situation.

I actually wonder this myself. I've been to the grocery store,Lowes,Target,Walmart ect ect. never do really meet anyone. I am pretty talkative too so it's not as if I don't try lol. I find there's A LOT of couples and very few singles at the grocery store to be honest (at least here it's that way). I haven't tried church as of yet. I'm not a drinker so I wouldn't be comfortable in a bar. I can't seem to find a decent pool hall around here shame too I love pool.  So, I don't know I've been trying just missing the mark.

If you don't go out at all, then online is about your only choice. Now if you go to a grocery store or Walmart once in a while, men are there too.

honestly i dont think it really matters where you meet a certain someone. Just because you meet them at church or lowes or where ever doesent mean that they will be a good person. i guess its just really hit or miss, you have to put yourself out there and with any luck you'll get a good one.

I'm going man shopping at Lowe's..anyone want to join me. LOL on a serious not, whoever said it is hit & miss is right. 3 of my best friends found the guys they married at a night club years ago (I did too, unfortunately, mine didn't work out after 7 years), plus it ALWAYS happens when you least expect it. you cant really look for it
