Hello, and thank you for looking at my profile.  My name is Heather, and I am 20 years old. I am currently enrolled in college where I plan on getting a degree in English. I am a person who loves to help others, so I periodically volunteer around Columbia, and I'm always going the distance to help a friend, if it is within my power.
I do not party, or go to bars. You're more likely to find me at home watching a movie, or in a coffeehouse.  Random Fact: I like the color blue (neon blue to be specific). 
I am an avid animal lover. I love animals most who are disabled, because I feel like I have something more in common with my pet, although I love all animals. This being said, I have Cerebral Palsy, which has minimal effect on my day to day life. It effects my right leg, causing me to have a slight limp.... but nothing aside from this. I can run and jump and do just about any activity except skip. Yeah, that's right, for some reason, I cannot skip. What good is skipping for anyway? 
Before I launch into why I'm on this site, I would like to say that I LOATHE the name of this site DateHookup.dating.  I'm not on here to HOOKUP. I think this is very misleading to some of the men that are on here, and they contact women (or at least me) for the wrong reasons. So, I'm not here for a hookup, and if this applies to you, stop reading right now. (Also, I turned off winks because I was getting too many. I also think that it's a quick way to show someone you are interested, but that isn't as good as an email to capture my attention!)
Now, for those of you that are looking to date, please keep reading. And for those of you who are more specifically looking for some serious relationship, then this is worth your while. 
I'm looking for a man who is going somewhere with his life, either in college, or graduated or has a good job that he loves. I do not drink or do drugs and I'm looking for the same in who I date. I'm a pretty mellow person, and so I would do best with the same type of person. I do not like drama, or game players. I am honest, brutally so sometimes, about myself and others (but only if I am close with them, as I do not like to offend people I do not know well.) .... this being said, I do not like game players. If you are going to contact me and then "cool off" for a week or two, you might as well move on, because I've lost my interest.
I do not like for someone to do stereotypical romantic things for me, little meaningful things are enough. 
I will say this, I live by the saying that nothing worth having in life is easy. I'm easy to please and easy to talk to and get along with. I'm a great friend. But it is not easy to have me fall in love with someone. I have a lot to offer someone, and am a great person, attractive, kindhearted... but in the end, if it isn't meant to be, I will be nothing more to you than a fierce friend. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
