Yeah, I took the plunge too...... meeting people online - don't losers do that? Not when you're stuck in a town where the general population never leaves their 5 sq. mile radius - physically or mentally. Not being from here, I want interaction with people that have fresh & intelligent opinions/thoughts about all aspects in life. Who knows, just maybe I will meet someone totally awesome, but if you don't hold expectations, you don't set yourself up for disappointment. I believe in the golden rule "Do unto others as you wish done unto you" and have met my fair share of a**holes in the 4+ years I've lived in this area, but I know there are some good souls out there. Maybe you've resorted to using this site for the same reason(s) as me? Well, you've taken the first step to getting out of your shell - now the next step is to WRITE PEOPLE BACK!! I have a good laugh at how many people join a "social networking site" but never message people back who write them, or who think that their "hot pic" is gonna get Mr. or Mrs. Charming to come sprinting into their life. You reap what you sow, people....... if you want something good to come out of a situation then don't manifest energies that aren't in your favor. Kinda like when u pass a cop on the hwy. and you know you're going 10 over the speed limit - if you freak and step on the brake and get all nervous, you're getting pulled over. If you keep driving like he was never there, "maybe" take your foot off the gas and coast some chances are you will keep driving.
Just a little life advice for everyone - we only get better at the kind of people that we are. Don't ever think "I'm gonna change this person" because the only people who can change you is - you. Nobody can "make" anybody do anything except die - go ahead, argue with me on that - I'm right. Everything is a choice in life, just some choices have major repercussions. But its still a choice and nobody is "forced" to do anything. Funny how people think they are sooooooo powerless....... wow you're still reading this? Well, let's get our "social networking" on then
