I found this site via a forum that was talking about a topic I was searching on in general. In a nutshell I've been put through the ringer so I'm on the fence about dating at all for a number of reasons. I'm just posting something here because people discredit your opinion if you don't "play ball". If you want to say hi feel free but just understand that I'm reeling from my previous relationship that was three years long but left me abandoned and hurt probably beyond any short term repair. I just don't know how you "pick yourself up and dust yourself off" when you stayed by somebody for three years, through their unemployment, buying them transportation, going through an ectopic pregnancy, being there for her when her daughter that she gave up for adoption 13 years prior want to reconnect and it was ripping her apart emotionally, being there for her after her brother let a car he was driving get repo'd when it was in her name, and through all this and more do you know how it ended? She called me one day after three years and told me what she was doing to me wasn't fair. I asked her what she meant. She said shed call me right back and that was the last I ever heard from her. How is this how you leave someone after three years? I'm 35 and this was probably the healthiest relationship I've ever been in. Because of all this, I really feel that I'm damaged goods. I can't imagine even having faith in somebody after a two year relationship and I'd be 37 by that time if I found somebody today. I don't see how ill ever trust the relationship I'm in ever again.
