Just wondering if people are less cuddly down south or if it just seems that way, is it because the heat? I don't see many holding hands, hugging, yet when you go up North people tend to be more affectionate...curious

HI BLAHGIRL,
hum...never thought about it. lol I for myself love to snuggle but you're right we don't hold hands very much here in the south. I guess it depends who you snuggle and hold hands with. lol

I find down south very friendly and yes northerners can be very stand offish but we are very genuine people.Northerners are very rugged people but once you make a friend they are a friend for life and will never turn their back on you.

Awwwww, thanks hon! Sooo sweet of you!

Hmmmm..*frowns*..PRIOR "personal experience" makes me wanna disagree there babe/. LOL.

i.e. Online dating attempts--first guy: from ME, turned out to be a real SOB, prick, d*ckhead...immature in that he blocked me from his "MESpace" ()..

second guy: from PA (! Sorry hon!)---same as the previous one..

third guy: from MA (the one from here on DH who incinerated my heart...same crap as the others, but wayyyyyyyy worse!)

So.... There IS someone (the "transplanted southerner") who I would LOVE to be able to prove me wrong...but...*sighs*--kinda doubtful we'll get together...

I'm from Chicago and all my kids were born in the summer months so what does that tell you. Warmth or affection? I think both. We Chicagoans have to stay warm somehow.

I guess it really depends on the person, but as someone posted here some from the North do seem more standoffish it's the lifestyle but after you break the ice they can be very affectionate people....whereas here in the South people are more outwardly friendly upfront but I haven't seen as much affection as I would expect...I mean by simple things like a couple holding hands, hugs, having an arm around their back...I know the heat and cold aren't the only factor cause they have AC down here so that wouldn't stop ya and up North they do have furnaces...could just be the area I'm at...but it's kinda a shame cause it can be such a romantic place with nice beaches and all... Thx for the feedback everyone
