I don't really care about a guy's height,
but some guys seem to feel self-conscious
when they're with a taller woman, especially
if she wears really high heels.

Height really plays no part in it... smile it does wonders....

Honey, it has nothing to do with your approach. It's the girls that have the problem seeing you for who you are.

Keep your head up, and don't worry about these little things. There's someone that will see you for who you are and not what you have.

***Don't focus on what you don't have. Focus on what you DO have, work with it, and make the best out of what God's given you. I am pretty sure you have much more to offer than just your height. YOU are the whole package deal,(your genuine love and TLC) is what you have to give. The one who knows it (and shows you the same) will be the one to keep.

Being 5'9-5'10 myself its hard to find a man taller than me especially since I like to wear heels...To be honest it doesn't matter his height but it is a little disconcerning when I "tower" over a man and if he is on the skinny side too, wowsers! Makes me feel huge! The last guy I had a serious relationship with was 5'7 he loved my height...I think its more the womans insecurity than a mans...

Why is it that when somebody asks a question and specifically asks for an honest answer, everybody talks out both sides of their face?
Is it so difficult to just say the truth?

I mean if this was actually a "poor me" short guy thread he wouldn't have asked for the ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

Now here I am: the asshole because I read all these posts from people patting the OP on the back and assuring him "It's all good cause good things come in small packages". When the truth is that shorter men ARE discriminated against and women DO prefer taller men.

So who is going to stuffing rose petals up his azz and give him a straight answer?

I told him the truth... You don't know me. With your response, you're the one that sounds like a fool. Obviously, I detect a little jealousy on your end or otherwise you wouldn't make a big deal about it.. Maybe, if you didn't respond in a way that didn't make you sound like a jackass, I would care enough to consider your feelings. But since it's all a joke to you..maybe that's how people see you.. A BIG JOKE.

different people gave different answers i don't think kenb5b01
should assume they were lying. for some people the height really doesn't matter for some it does.

as for me i want a guy who is at least my height (5'9). however an inch shorter is okay if i really liked him. i have found guys who are several inches shorter than me are overly competitive. i don't mind competition but there is healthy competition and there is neurotic competition over every thing and i find that hella annoying.

now for the six foot girls the 5'9 guys might be too short, but there are girls like me who would date that range. for a five foot woman, 5'3 - 5-6 is several inches taller. there are a lot of short azn girls in that range and shorter.

yes ajw1974, most girls want to date guys who are a little taller just like most guys want to date girls with a certain size breasts. however most of the short guys i see/know do have wives/girlfriends; and most of the flat chested girls have b/f's or husbands; and most of the bbw also have b/fs or husbands. but like everybody else in life, having isn't always keeping. some times there are issues that are not height related.

no one is perfect, everybody has something that someone won't like.

if u really want the odds more in ur favor, there is a site called shortpassions.com where people go to meet shorter guys n girls. i don't know if its good or not but its worth a try. maybe u can also start a dhu group here for people under a certain height.

by the way, bruce lee was 5'7, i would have dated him!

I have learned never to say never, though I did go on a few dates once with a man about 2 inches shorter then me. I knew it wouldn't work when he had to go on his tippy toes to kiss me good night. Typically I've dated men my height or a bit taller. I don't have a problem with a man my height...As they say, you're the same size in bed.

You obviously didn't read what I posted.
Every single post that I quoted said that they had no issue with height or commented on being short as a negative trait, or stipulated that they preferred taller me. Each post that I quoted contradicted it self.

Now stick around the forums awhile toots. After reading these whiny azz, crybaby, attention seeking short guy threads everyday for a few months, you will have a different perspective.

Here's a dare for you: Do a thread search for "short" on DH.
Let me help you out with that. Results 1 - 10 of about 24,500 from DateHookup.dating for short. (0.18 seconds)

I've only got about an inch and a half on you and I know how the short guy thing goes. I just try not to let it bother me too much though.. I figure as long as I can find a girl around my height or shorter (which at our heights isn't usually too big a hassle) then that part is moot.

I dated a girl for over 4 years who was shy of 5'10". I had a slight complex about the height thing but it didn't overshadow the relationship.
