It was KISS, Creatures of the Night Tour.
IT was suppose to be their last make up tour.
I never got around to seeing Godsmack when Sully Erna was still residing in Massachusetts but I got to see the Bettencourt boys when Extreme was a little unknown band playin' in my local bar joint. That was pretty cool.

I saw the Monkees too.. wasn't my first concert, but was the first without Mom & Daddy beside me :o).. Saw Bobby Gentry in LA in front of the Queen Mary.. And the Brooklyn Bridge in LA also
But the Monkees was the real beginning, followed by The Who, Tull, Johnny Winter etc... Just an ole hippie here

Mine was Kiss at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. 76' I think. 7th grade?
I was taken by the show so much that I went again the second night by myself. I told my parents that I was meeting friends there.
Styx opened up so they were technically the first band but it was a Kiss show.
Styx opened up with...I don't remember the name of the song but the lyrics were...
"Light up......and be happy......sweet smell...blah blah" don't remember the rest, but there was a sweet sweet smell that filled the air!

Men At Work - Cargo Tour, Oct. 12th, 1983 - Seattle
Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double-Trouble opened up for them (which I didn't care too much for).
Men At Work awesome, but I've now been to U2 four times (and of those four times, twice for free). U2 puts on the best show I've ever seen.

Husker Du sometime in 85 I think. Binghamton, NY. I was quite young, about 15.
I was standing right in front of the stage. Guys and gals with mohawks,
shaved heads,leather, chains and metal spiked accessories were doing this 'skankin' thing. The music was amazing.Hard core. I went with a cute guy I was dating. We sought refuge under the stage because everyone kept slamming the stage. We had a little fun under there too
I went home a little bruised but not broken....and DAMMIT...it effin ROCKED!!!!
