How long do you message someone from online before meeting? |

I have mixed feelings about this. I have had guys try to meet the same day. But I try to screen them better first. But then there are some people who want to message for a month or two before even meeting.
What is your opinion on this? How do you do it?

Not to sound sexist, but you are the woman... Go with what you feel most comfortable with... any man that doesn't understand won't make a good bf anyway... 
I tended to prefer to email a couple times, talk on the phone a bit and then decide to meet in a populated public place... Many didn't make it past email, some didn't make the phone conversation cut... Gotta be patient and trust your gut... Persistence will bring you to the one that makes the wait worthwhile...

It's not the duration, nor the amount of emails, calls... It the quality of the conversations, regardless of the media used... communicate, negotiate and compromise!

I prefer texting for about a couple of weeks and by that time I know whether or not I am interested in them. At some point I do want to hear their voice as that tells me a lot about their personality but I don't want to waste my time listening to endless chatter on the phone or being tied to a computer waiting for a response. I'm an impatient guy. You should go ahead and exchange phone pics of your private parts before meeting to see if you are compatible.

I don't like txting out talking on the phone for months and sometimes weeks before meeting. Ppl can become attracted to the person you are on the phone and when you meet the sparks just ain't there. You canty read what facial expressions say over the phone or in txt.

I'd go the same day but I'd bring mase or a blow horn just in case they turn out to be crazy. A good friend of mine always brings a baseball bat when she meets someone new but to be honest I think thats too weird and dangerous. The mase and blow horn are easy because you can hide them in your purse.
