If you haven't been to Savannah for St. Patrick's Day, YOU MUST GO! I have been several years and I love it! In my younger years, lacking funds for expensive hotels in the area, I slept in my car in parking decks (twice, totally worth it) but these days, this makes more sense!
My aunt and I are going so I thought I'd share. Not posting this as an event. She went last year and said that the bus is a party in itself especially on the way back! Everyone is on their own as far as purchasing tickets and transportation to/from the meeting place but if anyone else decides to go, hit me up and we can work out logistics.

Saturday, March 16th, 8am-Midnight
TRIP INCLUDES:Luxury coach bus transportation, beverages (beer, mimosas, water, soda), snacks, a light breakfast and parade beads plus free entrance into the Luck of the Irish Buckhead Pub Crawl that night. Mimosas will be served in the morning. Beer & wine will be provided on the bus.
ITINERARY: Arrive in Savannah around noon. Bus leaves at 8pm and back to Atlanta by midnight. If you miss the bus ride back to Atlanta, transportation is on your own.
DEPARTURE: 1 to 3 buses (depending on # of people) down to Savannah, GA for the second largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in the country. This is a very exciting & fun day trip. Before you know it you will realize that you are in Savannah. You must arrive at meeting place no later than 7:45 am. Bus leaves at 8am.
COACH BUS INFO: You may bring & leave items on the bus ie. small coolers, backpacks, jackets, pillows, umbrellas, boom box, etc. Your items will be safe on the bus. The buses will drop us off and not be parked so you need to take what you will need for the day with you. The coach buses have bathrooms, DVD's and stereos. Snacks will be provided on the bus. Lunch & dinner is on your own.
PRICE: $109 per person BUT there is a discount if you purchase your ticket by Febuary 14th! If you click on XORBIA at the bottom of the page to purchase your ticket and enter the word "koo" you will get $20 off bringing the price to $89. I just ordered and with taxes and any other fees, the total is $95.95.It doesn't prompt you to enter a code through Paypal, not that I could tell. I immediately received email confirmation.
Anyone can go and you do not have to go through me or contact me for any additional info regarding the trip as I know nothing more than what I have provided. Of course, if anyone is going, please let me know so we can get on the same bus. Seats are not assigned but I may want to email the service to tell them there is a group of us that need to be on the same bus. If no one else wants to go, I've spent about 45 min. doing this for no other reason but getting excited about this adventure and I'm perfectly fine with that! Whoop Whoop!

That looks like a lot of fun! I have heard that Savannah is awesome for St Patty's day! (I am half Irish so it is a big deal to me as a family tradition).
Wouldn't be able to pay for it by 2/14 though.

I love crowds like this, people watching, partying, so this is totally my element. I can't wait and this is much needed. I missed last year but hit it the year before... good times... well, afreakingmazing!

I'm going to meet up with some of friends down there who live in Savannah and others who are staying for the weekend.
I wanted to stay for the weekend but prices for rooms are crazy, throw in gas and other funds and it was just too much.

I talked to Sheri about the light snacks and beverages on the bus, thinking it was just beer and airplane type snacks.
She said they had plenty of beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages. Food included pizza and all sorts of shit - all included in your ticket price.
I have seen other bus trips online for $75 but no alcohol is provided. A breakfast burrito and a small juice... so I'm glad we are going on this one.

getting here at noon is gonna suck..you'll have to be at the end of the parade route to see anything..the parade kicks off at 10 I think..or as soon as the drunks get out of Cathedral and make it to Forsyth Park to start walking..hopefully, i'll be on Calhoun Square with the kids and grand kids..

I have 2 rooms. 1 with a bed, 1 with an air mattress and plenty of space for your own sleeping bags or air mattress. 15 mins from downtown. $25 a night per person. Full use of bathrooms and kitchen. I WILL NOT be anywhere near downtown but may be able to be designated driver for an extra tip.
