Pat and his son were in a blind to hunt hogs near Midway when this guy poked his head in! Pat's son shot the snake... it's 9'6" long... with 22 rattles, the head more than five inches wide, the fangs 2.5" long. Anybody going for a walk in the woods this weekend? Remember,,,,they were "sitting" in a blind when this fellow slithered in, and said "Howdy Pardner" !!!! YEE-HAW!!! Don't you just love Texas!!!!!!! Yessir, I does! Never a damn dull moment! Star....I bet this OLD BOY would of love to got into your Pheasant Box...

I am not ALWAYS covered in dirt and grease and wearing whatever clothes I find cheap at Vinnys. I have alot of the rockabilly clothes in fact. Including the poodle skirts. Only prob is the car shows usually occur when it is 102 in the shade and involve walking 10 miles in the swaps so not condusive to my 5 inch platform heels. I was listening to Click and Clack. They did a puzzler. Ok>>>> A guy goes to a shop. HAs a 350 engine. And he wants it re-built to run backwards. Why? The answer had to do with him living in Clevland............. Seems he wanted it for the second in-board boat motor. And he needed it to turn the prop opposite to the other one so he wouldnt go in a circle. They said they thought it was bogus. hmmmmmm? Now I am contemplating it...why DOES an engine run clockwise? And why couldnt it run counter. Inquisitive minds want to know.

bub049 Minneapolis, MN 67, joined Oct. 2010	When we put a conventional V8 in the back of a Corvair in the place where the original engine was, we have to run it backwards. One of the best swaps is the 215 ci Aluminum Olds V8 from the early F-85s and Cutlasses. It actually weighs less than the Corvair flat 6. Graymarine used to make small tugs using the Olds 215 V8 and ran them backwards, so we used to have a source for backwards cam shafts. Kennedy made an adapter to mate the Olds to the Corvsir bellhousing. Too much trivia..... I have a bedroom to finish wiring. Got the 8 ceiling "can" lights in and running. Still have to finish the outlets. Wheee..... Dam..... still can't get over how hot Miss Orz looks lounging on the fender of her Chebbie....

When the light changed and we passed each other in the intersection.....there was the un-mistable "rumble" of an American V-8 ! Cool ! On my way back home, I saw a cherry 1937 Ford two door sedan that was parked in front of a barber shop !! The great weather is bringing them out.

I was thinking the other day that one hardly ever sees any of the true luxury cars around at shows, nor in mags. The concours type...Rolls, Deuses,the big touring cars. I love those. Almost bought a 60 Rolls Silver Shadow once. Hubby talked me out of it...only 20 grand but he said may look nice and what is wrong under. And parts would eat us out of house and home to fix it. Dad said he wanted a 21 Rolls way back when he was young. Said it was a choice...car..or eat for the year...opped for eating. Should have begged and bought the Rolls. Man did NOT have his priorities straight. So guys...what MAKES engines turn the way they turn. ANd what has to be changed to run backwards?

Was a nice Farmall F12 & f14 in the prade Like mine only running Drove out to the tractor pull but was not much their yet to see as it is only geting started right now but every tractor I did see had v8's put in and I don't care much for that type of pulling. I missed the car show
