It strikes me that we as an american society God is being stricken from the world a little bit at a time. When will christian's rights be taken into account.

When time are easy and in the last 75 years times have been easy for the US.
people tend to think that they dont need God or that they are God.
Its in the bad times when people turn to God. thats why jesus says its harder
for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God then for a camel to go through the eye
of the needle..

Are you NUTS? the Christian Right have been in control for 8 fliipping hellacious years, they have hijacked our system and used the faith of the people for personal gain.
They brought religion to the table, and for the first time in MY life which I believe has been longer than yours there is an openness and acceptance of talking about GOD that has Not existed in MY life time.
Barack Obama both talks about and lives HIS faith , unlike the war mongers that have been in control.
It is a wonderful time to seek God, all of the tragedy in the world is giving us alot of company.

And, might I also remind you that Christians are currently persecuting people of other faiths, they should probably look in the mirrior before they insist on " right " living, they don't seem to have a clue.
we have PAID merceneries ( paid by the children of the future) killing people in at least 4 countries, the government acts in YOUR name you know.

well curious one that was certainly a nice and entertaining rant. But let me clarify I was talking about the subject of God being somewhat of a topic to avoid in conversation. Why shouldn't I be able to talk about my faith with people and not have them view me as some kind of fanatic or weirdo. Also you say christian like its everyone in the church out there killing in God's name. That kind of thinking is what makes stereotypes stick around so long. Besides no real christian would partake in anything involved in killing innocent people. So think before you overgeneralize please.

nobody has the right to express anything at work that the employer does not want expressed. how do you call that your right at work? nobody ever had that right in america.

Ummm In case you didn't notice, The " Christian Right have been politicizing their bullshit message of hate for the past 8 years. The Republicans have been in power because of these mental midgets.
If you are afraid to talk about your faith to people because of what they might think of you, the problem is YOU not them. you are placingyour image over GOD. are you summed up by the opinion other people have of you?
what exactly is it that makes you THINK they would consider you a freak? DO you consider people that talk about faith freaks?
personnally, I live my faith, rather than evangelize. This forum is exactly the place to talk about these things. you can talk about anything. maybe you should value God over your image?
