I hear you there, but sometimes you just don't know. But it is never too late to get out and move on.
I don't know about that drama....Sometimes I see women with guys who look very suspect (and some of these guys are my friends) and yet women will still take a chance on them....My philosophy is if it quacks like a duck then it's a 99.9% chance that it's a duck....and I wonder sometimes what women are thinking when they decide to date someone when it's obvious (at least to me) that the guy does not have his life in order.

And I can agree with that. IMO, needy people are ones who tend to get with anyone who will pay attention to them. When you have your life together (and yourself mentally) you pay more attention to the traits that are important to you, and avoid past choices. That is why I say, you live and you learn. If you cant learn from your experiences and be honest with yourself, then that is their mistake. Does that make sense?

What you say does make sense...however, I know too many bitter and hurt woman (these are average everyday women and some have above average intelligence)who fell for the wrong guy when it should have been obvious. On the other hand these guys were really good with women and knew what to say to attact women....but as you say, you live and you learn.

Women, generally speaking, have to traits that hurt 'em in the romance world. One, thanks to Hollywood, they go for 'bad boys' And they'll admit it here on these threads. The second is the nurturing thing, or "I'll change him for the better" So what happens is they latch onto bad boys thinking they'll change 'em, when they can't, they end up on here squawking about "Why do all men....."

Is not taking a chance at all.....
Because you just never know where it could lead....Yes the heart can get broken, but that is the chance you have to take.....You can't keep the wall up forever.....Who knows you could like what you see......

That's a big mistake, alright. I feel that the biggest mistake one can make is not to know oneself, to be at the mercy
of impulses, to be reactive, to make the same mistakes over and over.... we all make a mistake! It's not learning
from the mistakes that causes continual pain and suffering.
