For myself, my hair is thin and does not look good long...plus long hair is part of my past life (think pentecostal woman) So now I have the back short and spikey and the front a bit longer....it suits my personality. If I man asked me to grow my hair out...well I probably wouldn't! LOL I really like my hair as it is!! On a man, I generally like short hair, but I do like facial hair!! But then I also like a hairy chest..but no one asked about that!

funlovinwoman Douglassville, TX age: 48	Hairy chests are sexy as they can be that's what I think about all of that. With that comment, I also think that long hair on a woman is sexy as well. Each to their own. I would rather spend my time with the one I am with, then taking an hour to do my hair. All I have to do is wash it, and blow dry it, and sometimes I don't do that just let it dry naturally. Facial hair on a man is SEXY as well. Maybe I just like HAIR

The women my age around here all have the same haircut, big poufy in the front, short in the back and sides. I call it the obligatory Grimes county older womens haircut! As for long hair on men, it all depends on the man and how he carries himself, if he is neat and clean, fine, if he looks like a dirty aging hippie, nah!

missing_out Farmersville, TX age: 27	Growing up, my Dad never allowed me to cut my hair until I hit 18 and was able to do what I wanted. In my early 20's I had my quarter life crisis. LOL....Went and cut 18 inches of my hair off and donated it to locks of love. My youngest child was really sick and doctors never knew why, and it hit me, just what if it was my child who got cancer and lost all her hair. So I donated for all the parents that have to deal with their children having cancer and losing hair. I realized short hair was not for me, so back to butt lenght it grew!! My daughter had super long hair, and when I found out my friends, 1 year old daughter had cancer and lost hair, my 5 yr old daughter donated her hair to locks of love. If a man asked me to cut my hair, I couldnt do it. Was going to get my hair highlighted again, and my friend asked me not to. LOL....So I didnt (just yet). Hair on a man doesnt matter as long as its clean, but please dont have longer hair on your back than on your head!!! If I want to rub my hands down your back I dont like my fingers getting caught in hair. (A shaved head is my new fetish at the moment, SEXY as hell)

usakindatheart Overton, TX age: 48	hair must be cut to form one's face. or if you have one of those once in a life faces , long healthy thick hair can look down right mermaid gorgeous. when i was 30 something, i had my hair as long as my butt. my hair was healthy and nice. but as much as my hair was nice, it did not form right with my face. i think it was 2 things that kept me from cutting it. one. was my hair was pretty two. my x loved long hair on women i had people since i was 30 tell me women should not have long hair cause of older. well that is just dumb. it has nothing to do with your age, it has to do with what your shape and skin tone of your face is. if you are starting old lady jowls. and you know if you are. then a hair cut that gives the allusion of lift. is better then straight hair . for straight hair makes the face longer and the jowls are more noticeable. if you have alot of wrinkles on your face, a straight hair NO bangs is not good, cause it accentuates the wrinkle lines. bangs covers some of them up. or at least breaks the lines. it has to do with the individual person, not age. op. do what you want to do with your life, do not do what others tell you, in fact i had people telling me to cut my hair for over 17 years, and every time i heard it, i just waited another year , i am mule headed and stubborn and rebellious, about stupid stuff sometimes. but do what you feel is right for you, or you will be angry at the people who make you feel like doing something else. if you do ever feel like cutting your hair, first do it on the computer with a photo, and all the different styles with your face. then go to a VERY experience salon. that knows what they are doing. do not go cheap when it comes to hair cuts. either way good luck either way, i wish you happiness with your hair. I think what is missing is that we need to remember anyone who comes into our lives needs to be a complimentary additon to us. When we conform to someone elses ideals we loose ourselves and no one can be truly happy when they are lost. So be the glorious you that you are. We are woman isnt that fabulous enough?
