i have short hair, and the way i see it if nobody likes they don't have to look......it's not the hair that makes the person. it is the person....so if you like your hair the way it is then leave it ........to hel l with the rest

I love long hair on an older woman. Tha is one of the things that I am looking for. The longer the better. She really needs to have a very sweet spirit to go along with the long hair......oh yeahhh

Way to go baby deb. Glad to see that I am not the only one that doesn't care what someone else thinks. I think it is each person's own preferance. Look at taurus his couldn't get much longer lOL. He likes it and that's what matters, whether it is long or short if WE are comfortable with it nothing else should matter.

According to my female boss, I need to cut my hair because I am too old to wear it long. She makes a comment about once a month and I keep saying I'll grow it past my behind before I'll wear her feminine version of a buzz cut. When I put it in a French twist or braid it, she murmurs that she was hoping I'd cut it. I am not messy and I don't have 'wild, greasy, unkempt' hair like some of my younger co-workers come in with, but she really doesn't like it at all. As far as what the length of my hair says about me, it says I have very nice hair, the type of hair the 20 year olds I work with try to emulate by growing theirs out!

This was me until I cut it for a job a couple of months ago. (was about halfway down my back). Some people laughed at me, some people cried... some people just about fainted. I'm still the same old me though.... now i just save money on shampoo.

I let it grow long simply because I can.
It was falling out for so long due to hormone imbalance and I had to keep it short.
And I like a man with long hair in a pony tail.

great thread... but
at this stage of my life, the only hair i have left is that crap growing on my earlobes, nose, and those long wicked wild ones in my brows.
As I catch it going down the shower drain, dry it, and that dang superglue doesnt last very long to stick it back on either...
in another 10 years, i'll be kojack!

Ladies I say do with you hair what you will! There is a reason that you all have said the words "My Hair". I think what is missing is that we need to remember anyone who comes into our lives needs to be a complimentary additon to us. When we conform to someone elses ideals we loose ourselves and no one can be truly happy when they are lost. So be the glorious you that you are. We are woman isnt that fabulous enough? Anything else just add's to the magnificent creatures that we are. So ladies dance to this beautiful song of life.
