Ok, I was recently at a resturaunt and the waitress had an AMAZING smile. I had an overwhelming desire to get to know as much about her as I could. I found myself tongue tied and limited myself to the meal itself.
Ladies, if you are working (resturaunt or otherwise), what is the best way for someone to introduce himself to you. How would you like to be approached? I was tempted to call the resturaunt back the next day and ask if the particular waitress was working and if so, just say that she waited on me and I was enthralled by her smile. That she probably wouldn't remember me, but I definitely remember her.
Geez, it's been over a week and I can still picture her smile.

If I was a waitress, I'd probably appreciate your compliment very very much! As far as the "getting to know" part - start with small talk and see where it leads..

I agree! go back to the restaurant and request to sit in her section. Try the small talk and see where it leads.

If I were a waitress, I wouldn't appreciate a flirty tone of message because I'm at at work which make me feel a bit uneasy but at the same time I'll appreciate someone notice me as a woman with a beautiful smile and not just a waitress serving your table.
Would this help if you had said "Your beautiful smile made my day! Then I guess I'll have a good day. Thank you."
