I've noticed that most (not all) guys want something "casual." They don't seem to want a committed or serious relationship. I know men and women think totally differently, but guys do you know what that says to a woman? That says, I want my cake and eat it too. I want to have fun at my convenience and be able to just walk away should something better come along, but you'll do for now...

Just an observation and possibly enlightening some men as to how a woman thinks of "casual," and maybe that's why some men don't seem to find a date/relationship. Most women (again I'm generalizing), don't want to be a "you'll do for now."

Oooops ... I thought this thread was about BBWs.

As long as I'm here: funny you should say that about men. It works with women as well. Just walk away when they've gotten everything they're going to get out of the man. When the man doesn't have money to hand out -- when he can't be an interest-free no-terms lending institution / all-purpose handyman on call 24-7 -- there's nothing more to be had from him, women sense that, and they want nothing to do with him.

There was this guy: he was married to a woman named Edith. While on a business trip to Las Vegas he got drunk and next thing you know he became wed to a lady by the name of Kate. Upon being charged with paligamy a short time later the judge told him in no uncertain terms that "YOU CANNOT HAVE YOUR KATE AND EDITH TOO!

There are just as many women out there looking for the exact same thing as you say men are. And really, as long as they let you know that's what they want, it's no big deal. Now if they lie about it sure, then get pissed.

I can only give you my perspective as a woman out there dating. I'm sure there are women looking for that too. As long as they let you know that's what they want... that's the problem, znorth, I find most men don't REALLY know what they want. They tell you what you want to hear and drag you along for the ride only to hurt you down the road when they decide they only want "casual." Not all men are like that, just throwing some experiences I've had and starting a discussion...

key words are "if they lie"..liars are liars no matter what gender ..how hard is it to be honest...if things aren't what you thought just say so and move on...but if you don't by a ticket you have no chance in winning the loto

It can be confusing sometimes and I'll be honest. As sad as it is, a hard Eric and a soft Eric don't think alike sometimes. But I'm aware of this so I try to be straight up with a woman. (no inuendo intended) I've been chased and I've been the agressor but in every relationship I never tried to BS my way into a womans drawers. Just roll the dice and see what happens. Like Redwine says. There's always some risk involved.

Well that's fine... I've dated my fair share of women who have not been any better than the men you describe... Men are no worse than women and if anyone believes one or the other is worse, they obviously are just not thinking.

point is both sexes can be liars and out for all they can get. Our best interests are served if we take our time and actually get to know the person first ...think with the brain and the other parts.

guys don't see it as a "problem". women think less of ourselves for it. I've had guys on this site approach me about one of those "friends with benefits" things. I told them that's not what I'm about and that I'm not an internet wh*re.
Why is it ok for guys to think that kind of relationship is ok...while we are seen as and feel like wh*res for it?
