I am just your basic human being. I like to joke around, some people say I am weird, others say I am a jerk, some say I am nice, while more say they just don't care. I'm not terribly certain which of those explain who and what I am but I do know that I am honest and I tell it like it is. Lots of people don't like that and they take my straight forward approach as me trying to be mean. That is not the case, I just prefer to let my feelings be known right up front so you and I know if we are wasting each others time. Life is too short to be wondering about things like that. My sarcasm has become a bit more thick over the years but people who actually know me, know that it is all in good fun. For those who don't know me, well they may very well see it as something else. I do not claim to know everything but I will debate what I think with you from now until the end of time if it is something I believe in. I never back down from a good debate. I spend too much time thinking and I spend too much time doing too many things. Some of my friends say I am a workaholic but I don't really see it that way. I am just happy doing what I do.
I'm here on this site because I still have a feeling that there is someone out there who might be able to surprise me. I must admit that I've become a bit cynical of these sites but I'm not the type of person who gives up. I am pretty much just looking for friends right now.
I am a business owner and a USCG Master Captain, and I'm involved in law enforcement so I stay pretty busy with work. In my free time I spend a lot of time on my boat on Lake Michigan. It's a great way to relieve stress and well, it's just where I like to be. I enjoy many different things such as history, museums, travel and camping at my property up north.
I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. This to me is important so if you abuse alcohol or use drugs, I am giving you fair warning that I won't like you so it's better that you pass me by.
I usually don't e-mail many people on here. Actually, I never e-mail anyone on here. It's not that I am being anti-social, it's just that I don't enjoy chasing people around asking them if they want to talk. Sorry, it's just the way I am. If however you want to know more about me, let me know.
