@dixie...I think that's why im so nervous. Its not the best time for me. This guy is in kansas but a distance away and coming for christmas with family. He took me by surprise when he asked so I said I'd let him know later.

Yeah if you don't get excited and nervous you are doing it wrong.
I like doing blind dates... More of thrill and rush not knowing what or who you are going to encounter.
You don't and can't do anything about it... That's part of the side effect of dating and meeting people for the first time(s).

DTA: very true damsel, but this should be communicated before hand. OP hasn't said how she's met this guy (if it's a dating/datehookup site, then clearly he has some elevated expectations of what could come out of the meet and greet) so i'm guessing it needs to be spelled out that it's a casual and strictly platonic get together

this is my over active imagination at work, but be sure that this "pass through town" isn't a cheating man's weekend escape.
i've come across them. "oh yeah, i'll be in your area for holiday/work training/etc" and come to find out he has a girlfriend/wife/fiance back wherever he came from.
just be careful. especially since he's new to DH and hasn't been active on the forums to dig in a little deeper.

I am sorry luv....but many ppl.read wayyyyy to.much into a meet or a date...
It is...just that.
I dnt over anyalize my clothes..but I also don't. dress to "impress"...I dress as I always do....no false bs with me....
My nails are done...for me..not him....
My perfume is for me....not him.
I dnt understand all the undo pressure ppl put themselves under....then if the other person dsnt flip.the hell.out also and present a non realistic front...they are pissed off and.let down...
I seperate men frm thousands of dollars in biz clothes...they are good enough for a meet

I go in with no expectations. It's a drink and or a bite to eat. If if there is something there is usually develops. Yes it might be one sided at times, but both sides have to be aware and realistic that may happen.

it's not christmas though. it's three days after. he could have told his wife he was going to have a christmas party with college buddies, but was coming to a new town for a wild fling away from his ball and chain.
stranger things HAVE happened. just be on alert.
now don't nobody go accusing me of being such a doubtful debbie. i don't assume the worst, per say. i think about the worst possible scenario, and that way i'm not unaware of blatant clues present themself.

Now im looking for a new purse and im thinking the gaudy ones are growing on me. How do you score guys wanting to buy you clothes?....Lol I'd so take them up on that within reason.
