Quote from TLC_dude:
That having been said in reading this thread I'm amazed that no one, that I could see, has addressed the real core issue.

That's because a lot of us know that the poster will not change his mind and trollish people will jump in demeaning women and try to rile people up, saying these robots could actually replace women in large part.

For most people, sane people, never in a million years would they replace women with robots. Something with no consciousness and incapable of relationships.

Even prostitutes, fake-acting as they are, are more real.

But this place is littered with trolls and whack jobs.

Interesting discussions are often reduced to people fighting with these trolls and whack jobs. Or playing with them.

The rest who are interested in serious discussion tend to stay away.

Because there are people for whom it will replace totally or partly a real person, as technology advances.

People who want robots according to their wishes, people who can't find partners, people who prefer robots to humans - more convenience - etc

When they become life like... we may have to adapt to the presence of more of these in society, for sex and other purposes.

It's not a new subject...

It will be a part of our lives, because when technology is created it will get used. Look at blow-up dolls. Who would think anyone could have a "relationship" (LOL!) with a blow-up doll? Apparently to some, a hole is a hole is a hole.

Most of us know of people that live through their computer, use porn to get off and couldn't have a real relationship if their life depended on it. Why is it such a stretch that these social misfits wouldn't turn to a programmed sexbot to praise their every move and continually stroke their ego with words, moans and groans? Some people can't handle any chance of being mocked or rejected, so for them, so they need to stay away from real people and do the artifical. Plus, then we can stop hearing them tell us how none of us are the perfect woman/man they think they deserve. Humans are imperfect, because we are human, and we all deserve to deal with the imperfections in ourselves and in others. For those who find the human condition too difficult, I think a sexbot is an alternative rather than them bothering us with their dysfuntion.

I suppose they'll cost a lot of money , will they come with a lifetime warranty I wonder..
and what about clean up , Hygeine and all that stuff , will there be a special store form them to shop at , I won't be letting one of those drive my truck thats for sure ...
these bots may be higher maintenance than the real McCoy.... plus , I don't want to face the risk of electrical shock if it somehow malfunctions when I go to ,'PLUG IN' , so to speak.....

That actually is a good idea, because it is coming and I have no doubt there will be a big market for such a robot. At first very expensive, so only affordable to the rich, but like all electronics the price will start to come down and will be an expanding market for a long time to come, or a least in your lifetime.

Ha ha ha ha! Ya know I looked into it. Having disposable income, and being semi retired, and an insane sense of humor...I actually thought about buying a bunch of them. But not for sexual gratification. But to configure them in my home to scare the shit out of my freinds. Let's face it...in reality they are dolls. But....don't they just look scary? Your freinds wouldn't be able to keep their eyes off of them in fears they would become real, and alive, animated, and jump at them. As for the sex....ha ha ha! Expectations in the sexual department would probably be just as disappointing as all the women I've had sex with in my life. A year ago a freind of mine bought a jewelry store. He gave us the money to find some quality mannequins to display his jewelry in the store. We found, and purchased them, and ran around with the mannequins all weekend Ala 'weekend at bernies'. We made a million jokes, pissed off alot of people, completely abused the mannequins beyond comprehension (no sex...they were like Michael jackson...no parts), terrorized elderly people, brought them to lunch at KFC, and at bar close to perkins, joy riding in cars, and realized....that no matter how realistic they could ever make a life size sex toy...it's still deadweight, and that's all it would be. And it would get old...just like everything else. The greatest sexual organ in our bodies is...our mind.

I couldn't have sex with a robot. I would miss the feelings, and emotions of a REAL woman. I would miss coming in her mouth, and having her spit it in my face, and screaming "THERE'S YOUR SELF RESPECT A**HOLE!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT MOTHERF**KER?!!!" To which I reply "You have kids?"

Cops pulled us over in EC. This was after we dressed the mannequins, and posed them mooning people out the window of his jag. I thought it was funny. College kids doing double takes laughed their asses off. The near sighted elderly couple in the Buick with 911 on speed dial didn't find it amusing. Lots of splainin to do lucy. Damn near lost 1500 worth of mannequins to the po po.

Funny crap, when I was younger my friend had a customized VW Bug with over sized tires and while going to the beach every weekend at 1-2 in the morning after work on Fri he stuffed this female mannequin in the back seat...it had very minimal movement however we could move the head left and right, open and close the jaw and we put lights in the eye sockets with batteries topping it off with a wig. People on the highway would freak out speeding up thinking we were like the guys in a Clock Work Orange...a patrol stopped us once and the officer just couldn't stop laughing. Sconnie's right about this...it would be hilarious owning a few. I'd like one to walk the wolves...friggin hilarious. Ironically my friend went on to work at NASA of all places and loved it.

In any case, Merry Christman Scon and all my best for the new year...cheers.

It didn't help with all the wisecracking we made to the police. "I think we are going to take your mannequins". "You cant." "Why not?" "Because they don't like you." "Yeah, they like bad boys, and are not turned on by men in uniform. They're slut mannequins." And it got worse from there. It was still fun.

I still walk in to my buddies jewelry store, and kiss one mannequin on the cheek, and slap her on the ass, and everyone erupts in laughter. "Remember that weekend toots? Whooz your daddy. That's right baby...I'm your daddy." It just wouldn't work having a realistic sex toy for me. I'm so f**king insane it would never get used for sex. We would be having to much fun treating it as an inanimate object. Merry xmas everyone.

Maybe it's because I feel they are all about money of which I do not have any. I lived in cali for two years, and had no car, but I was saving up for one in every other post. And women were so shallow, and wouldn't date me on my bicycle. I just want someone to love me. I'm a doll.
