On subsequent dates I like pink roses with extra baby's breath.

I'm prepping my garden beds for flowers this year again...
Hopefully by the middle of the spring I will have thousands of flowers again!
I plant at least 20 varieties or more if I get ahold of them!
Blew me away how the price of seeds has jumped like it has.
I used to be able to buy packets for a little over a buck and now they are all around $3+ each! I need to collect my own seeds again!
My kids would take bouquets into their teachers on Monday morning and they would have over 15 or 20 different flowers in them!
So for a woman around me - flowers would be an everyday thing - even without picking any...

^^I order mine by the pound (all organic) from a joint on ebay, mine in the yard can't keep up with out consumption (the kids like it too) "sour tea" hot or cold is the best.
Orchids & Roses are my favorite to receive.

between the cutting and the dragging the cuttings over to the hill and rolling them down - took well over an hour...3 beers, two aspirin, and a quail in one of my pear trees...
the branches behind the roses are some of my pomegranate trees...
which have alyssum and bachelor buttons growing around them...used to be tons of them but over the years...

Gardenias smell heavenly
Growing up mom had several gardenia bushes and she would let me pick some of the blooms and keep them in my room, it's a fond memory that I'll keep with me always.

gardenias don't really make a good date flower, but I love them.
I wish I could remember the other flower I was wild about it's scent. I remember in my twenties, thinking there was no better smell. I don't have any emotional memory or tie with that one so it's harder to remember.

I love just having stuff that has smell to it.
Along the stairs on the opposite side of the waterfalls I have a huge lavender and giant rosemary and when you walk past and brush them it smells so nice!
When the oranges are in bloom it's overpowering at times but smells so fragrant...
The jasmine that has climbed the front of the greenhouse to the point that my solar food dryer is useless - smells awesome in bloom...three of my roses have scent the others not so much...
Having my fruit trees getting larger and creating more shade will allow me to plant other stuff under them...been waiting patiently for years for that to happen!!!

Have never rec'd flowers but growing up in Hawaii gave me a love for plumeria trees, hibiscus and a number of others that I don't know by name.
