We have always had the bedrooms in pastel colors. My mother's idea.
Actually I have wood paneling in my room. Very MACHO, huh?

Wood paneling. Whatever is clean,black and white or faded gold and white. I didnt and dont care. The bedspread was picked by an ex somewhere along the line.

the walls are artic blue,with white trim,with a big,fluffy black harley davidson bedspread on my bed.
i painted the walls on a whim[no particular reason],and the bedspread was a gift,but it is nice and warm,and has a big orange harley emblem on it,so...,whats not to like?

Walls are painted red. Dark red. Favorite color.
Bed comforter is black, red and white. Bed sheets are black. When I'm more healthy and energetic everything needs to be clean and perfect. Why... bad.. I don't know.

I don't bother with colorizing / coordinating. The walls are the same white they were when I moved in. The sheets, etc, vary. I buy what is on sale, and fits....be it green, red, or whatever. My bedroom is not a fashion showroom, or museum.

I'm trying to decide what color to paint my bedroom, as a matter of fact.
I did my living room in a kind of sandy gold, with forest green rear walls on the built-in shelves, and bone trim wood. My dining room is a rich dark sort of rust color. My hallway is yellow at the moment.

The walls are paneling which I hate. I didn't choose it. It came with the house. I can afford to replace it right now. My bedroom is done in black with zebra,and hot pink accents.
I love those colors obviously and I didn't like the other choices that they had to choose from, and black comforts me and makes me feel safe.

My walls are wall color... the same as all other walls.
Bed sheets are red and blanket is black.
I chose those colors because those frequencies appeal to me.

'rustic' design is pretty good,too,and i am also into antique industrial motifs.
[not quite 'steampunk',but some of that can be pretty cool,too,if it is done right!]

you can paint paneling,and make it look pretty good,especialy if you take a brush,and use it to emphasize the lines with a different color for contrast,before you paint the flat part of the paneling with a roller.
[like this,but with different colors]
you could even do it in a zebra motif if you wanted to,so that it would match the rest of the room,but i would make the walls white,with black stripes,to make the room seem bigger than it would if you did them black,with white stripes..
maybe put some hot pink trim/moulding on it,somewhere,to make it pop.

Shark skin blue-grey walls with ultra white trim molding. I decopauged my closet door with a bold black & white floral design.
My comforter is white goose-down with white cover & grey fleece sheets (not flannel)

Off white walls. I love my big heavy bed. It doesn't move. Beige, green and burgundy comforter with heavy green darkening drapes. A big pink quilt I made for my daughter when she was a little girl. I use it in the winter and drap it across the bottom of the bed the rest of the year. I have a antique writing table and chair. Also, two peces of furniture my dad made for me. Just a cozy little room.

you should do the hall way the same color as your front so it blends in

The 50s/60s were set in stone. Pink, light greens, blues and yellow. Kitchens were yellow. Bath and bed were green, pink or blue. LR were beige. Yawn. The last color in my bedroom will stay...powder blue. I did the ceiling painted with clouds. Big mural on the one corner I did of some fantasy architecture and gardens, mountains and forest. The second room is orchid with white grass blades painted on. The bedding changes to seasons. Florals mostly. In winter, the buffalo robe covers it all.
