I have always wondered why women don't ask a guy out for a date. Don't give me that "I'm old fashion" or "that's a man's responsibilty" excuse. 
Todays women role has change alot, they're more bolder and aggressive in their own ways, and they know what they want in life. 
What's your reason for not asking a man out for a date?

Been there, done that, and it backfired. He wanted to know if I wanted to be a man and if I did, then I needed to look somewhere else.
Edited to clarify-- If it's someone you've already been dating for awhile, then guys don't seem to have a problem with it at all!

fear of rejection... just like a man has to deal with. I think though that as a whole... Yes..society/economy has changed the roles of women these days... and this has been the case for many years... but...I am not sure we as a people are yet comfortable with the change.
I have never asked a man out ..YET! But I have listened to some men talk after being asked out by a woman and they thought it was flattering... but out of the norm. So much so.. that it was interesting enough to be a topic of conversation. Now, whether he admired her for her boldness... I am not sure. he did accept the date.
I like things the old-fashioned way..but Hey TIMES- ARE- A- CHANGIN!!!

I think men are more visual than women, and if he does find you attractive, then he will find a way to ask you out. But, as for me asking a man out, I do (after he has approached me). But, the initial contact has to come from him because he has to be attracted to me.

Edited to clarify-- If it's someone you've already been dating for awhile, then guys don't seem to have a problem with it at all!
Don't deny yourself from meeting someone nice, just because this one man he feels like "a woman's place is to stay home, barefoot and pregnant". Count your blessings, that's why I think a todays's woman are different,and should ask a man out. I know its difficult, I go through this dating process every weekend, and I won't give up.

I did.
He said he didn't have any money and wouldn't have until next week.
I said that, of course we would go dutch since we are friends.
He said no. 
I said we don't have to do anything that costs money.
He said no.
So, here I am on this stupid computer another Sat. night. 
Do I deserve this?

Well, I am extremely agressive and am trying to tone it down very much... so, no, if he does not ask me, I am going to assume he is not interested in me the way I am interested in him. Hey, I do not want to come across like a stalker. I am not. So, if he is interested, he will have to let me know first. I want a guy that is masculine after all. He has got to have more guts than me or we are sooo in trouble.
