I've self supportive and looking for a long term and permanent relationship. By self supportive, I mean I'm working and paying bills etc, do all the washing, cooking & cleaning (live by myself), have 3 vehicles etc.
But I must be looking in all the wrong places as not many of the ladies I've met really take my fancy. I'm single but pretty fussy on the person I'd like to go forward with as I don't want to waste time on both sides when it feels not right at the beginning.

Do the same things - work, pay bills, clean, take care of the acreage, volunteer.
Just can't seem to find the right one.

In my opinoin,, Those of us at this age are real worried that the same things will happen to them in the past, so our gaurds are up not wanting to get hurt again
more simply just scared to let someone back in their life......

I think we girls are looking for the same guy but he must be already taken or gay. I'm actually ready to give up on this site since I haven't met but 2 guys on here and both had major issues. Being forever single is looking better and better to me with every guy I meet who issues far exceed his ability to love. I think great catches and honest women aren't desirable anymore. Slutty girls and B^%ches are the new trend.

I'm having sort of the opposite problem. I'm finding it very difficult to find a woman who is self-supportive who truly desires a committed, long-term ***MONOGAMOUS*** relationship.
Why bother telling me, after the fourth or fifth date, we get intimate, you say that means things have become exclusive, I agree, and then you "meet someone else."
Seems to me that if you've JUST decided to be exclusive with someone, that means you stop shopping.
*FAR* too many women here who like to play the "bigger, better deal" game.

That is wonderful advice, which i have heard before. When i have done that, a wife, kids or girlfriend usually turn up once the guy gets to the check out line. Geez, maybe i should pick my guy and just wait outside the store???

I can only speak for My self. Yes I am looking for love , the total thing. Not having any luck. I've been on several date & after a couple of dates they always seem to have to much going on in there life, Not ready for a relationship,or my dog just died & need to go through a mourning period!
I bath daily, brush my teeth, dress in clean clothes, treat a lady with respect & always pick up the check at dinner. (I'm a little traditional in that respect).
Please look aat my pics & let me know if I'm just to damn ugly to be scene in public with?

Why do I find myself desperately trying to read between the lines when I hear anyone, Man or women asking a question like this?????
No one wants to be with a bum, or a momma's boy that cant take care of themselves.
That's for sure!! Or a feeble princess, for that matter.
As a man, I am less interested, or should I say "pre-occupied", with concerns regarding
survival.
What I look for in a partner is someone who "supports" me "Sufficiently" emotionally.
I look a woman's ability to enrich my life, maybe compliment my weaknesses,
and gets amorous when I cook her a fine meal. Giving her my paycheck is a given!
There's a terrible, "yuppie", materialistic under tone to this question.
But then again, for some, the Idea of deep pockets; might be as deep as the are capable of thinking??
