A few years ago when I was on top of the world...Had a hooked up car with chrome rims and $5,000 stereo and money in my pocket, all the ladies wanted to kick it. Had most of my girlfriends at this time and even when I didn't have a girlfriend, girls I knew just wanted to hang out all the time........Now I don't have a car at all, I don't have hardly any money and where they all at now.....the hell if I know, not with me.
Now I'm going to be done with school in November and I will have money again, but I'm going to be careful, cuz it seems all that's out there is gold diggers. I'm gon spend that $ on ME and not some gold diggin ^&%&*( 
Sorry, but I'm sure some of you have noticed the same thing.

Maybe your car was a big billboard to actually draw attention to "them". Happens all the time with cars, bikes, boats, celebrities, etc. But it is "some" women, not all. Some haven't been raised by the mother that told them that it is just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as it is to with a poor one. It is not what you have, it is what you do despite not having.

true, but it seems they dont even want to try to meet anybody unless they got a lot of $. I think when I get my money situation straight I'm going to try to meet girls while on my bicycle, lol bring the car if it goes to date 2. Make her think I'm poor as hell (well maybe not super poor) on the first date.

yes, yes I am a great guy  No seriously though what someone said about it being "some" women. The problem is to weed them out. Lets say there's 20 women and 19 of them are only there for what you have, how do you pick out that 1? I need to go walking and bike riding more....but then even that one girl might look at you like a scrub even though she's not JUST looking for "things".
oh screw it...this is starting to sound like word problems in math cla**...

I don't see or look at $ signs at all and I think there are plenty of women out there that don't. It does probably matter how you were raised and how materialistic you are - both men and women.

I took a woman out for ice cream once and when I went to pay for it she was looking over my shoulder saying "oh look 50's and 20's"... She was checking to see what was in my wallet... Not all women are like that but lots are. You just gotta be careful and kick the bad ones right out the door and move on.

My ex was poor when we got together, we struggled for a lot of years, finally got to a comfortable place....and divorced, Now we are both cash poor again.
Seriously though, the only relationship I have had since the divorce was with a guy who had a job and 3 kids, but didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out, and I just figured we could build things up together if it had gone anywhere.
As long as a guy has goals he is willing to work toward, a job, some ambition, and can take care of basic necessities, I'm cool.

LOL you poor thing you... I live in Connecticut hun and have for the past year... I have met my share of shallow, gold diggers both male and female and the vast majority I have met here. Sadly there seems to be a prevailing attitude around here that it's all about what car you drive, what University you attend, and what label clothes you wear...
The why's are easy to figure out... As a kid growing up in harlem I heard even my own mother say and I quote with a shiver "You can get ANY man to F--k you and NOT pay your bills" end quote... I was not my mothers daughter and was as disgusted then as now recalling those sick words. But it is a sad truth that many girls based on piss poor advise from mothers/friends and the media brainwashing kids into thinking they aren't worth much if they don't have the latest whatever that leaves those who have or care little for material things sitting on the sidelines wondering "WTF"...
And picking out that ONE is actually rather easy... she will be the one who doesn't care if you can pick her up for a date and will be more than happy just hanging out with you...
