okay so i have to poll a min of 10 people for a bit of homework. i was hopeing you all could help me out ^.^

I don't feel I can say that one is more important than the others, cause in any given situtaion, you can place them in different orders.
Is the governement meeting any of these needs, on an average I would give them all a 3 or 4. Number 4, right now I would give it about a 1.
Our government needs to wake up and listen to the people, not listen to big shots. Our country is fast becoming one of Murphys Rules: "He who has the gold makes the rules."

Why/or why not? (about your opinion)
I FEEL THE GOV IS MEETING THIS MID RANGE A 5 . WE NEED TO DO MORE FOR HEALTH CARE FOR ALL AMERICANS...I WOULD LIKE THE GOV TO BE MORE OF A SOCIALIST SOCIETY LIKE GERMANY...WE WOULD PAY MORE TAXES AND IN THE END PEOPLE WOULD BECOME MORE LEVEL IN THEIR SOCIAL STATU...I THINK THE GOV SHOULD DO MORE ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ALSO...IT SEEMS LIKE WE ARE DOING ALOT FOR ILLEGALS INSTEAD OF DOING FOR OUR OWN CITIZENS...

thanks, patty, very interesting reply. i don't know much about a socialist gov. but you do relise that to equalise social status then the government will have to extremly raise taxes on the rich? i mean the rich are already taxed about 50% of their income. and then wouldn't that take allot of the drive out of people to try and succeed b/c their life wouldn't change by much?
also on a funn not, the government clamped down on the illeagal immagration from mexico not long ago and then there was a shortage of low wage workers for fruit picking and the price of fruit sky rocketed (other industries were also effected, but this one i believe was hit the hardest) so the government was forces to relax on the regulation that blocked illeagals.  i'm NOT 100% sure if thats true though.

yes you are right our gov is screwy...I guess to be a socialist type country you would have had to be one all along...I think those countries take over 60% of folks wages or more to fund all the gov. programs such as free child care free family leave, free health care for all...You are all taken care of by the gov from birth to death...We studied different gov types in Human dimentions class...I really liked the way of life the germans lead...They seem very laid back, equal to one another and happy...

hhmmm. i don't think i would like to be taken care of by the governemnt from birth to death. it's too much dependace of the governemt and i think as a whole that would make people in the country weaker. why fight to live when someone will feed you for free?

The wrong was allowing SSI to Illegals. It passed recently. After passing legislation preventing widows (US Citizens) from collecting before they reach 62, if no minor children. Any surplus from that law change makes it ok to now give it to the illegals in this country another benefit for them vs us. So what if we loose our hard earned FICO, go homeless, etc. We are essentially no longer viable citizens not worthy of a hand up to stay up, not to mention now added to the overwhelmingly uninsured.
And not allowing widows to collect their husbands SSI, if they were left with huge financial hit.  I speak for more than myself, I know several in my own small community experiencing of same problem, we are not Microsoft, or an oil heiress. And lost jobs due to their unpaid caregiving of their dying loved one. The job loss at mid 50's is not so easy to recupe from and adds to and extends their grieving. 
Just another opinion from one in the trenches. Lack of sufficient length of LOA, job protection while caregiving those final days of your loved ones life. It's a huge sacrifice but you love them and so you do it, 
It is the time of your final good bye's.
