Sex on the first date is fine. No sex on the first date is fine. People have all these rules when it should be that I'm a grown man or woman and I do this free and of my own accord. Now if you have sex expecting that will keep someone around or guarantees a 2nd date then you may have a problem.

omg-i am not promoting sex on the first date I am saying "IF" you can convence me to do that on the first date than you are really smooth. I don't think you should enter into sex with out getting to know someone first and then decide. But I would be a liar if I said I have never had sex on the first date. I regreted it too...honest

Maybe I'm just really old-fashioned, but what ever happened to waiting till you got married to have sex? I was a virgin on my wedding day at the age of 25, I never cheated on my wife, and since my divorce three years ago I've never been with another woman. Nor will I ever, unless I should happen to get married again. Am I really the only person on earth who feels that way about things?

I've had sex on the first date. I called her, but she wasn't really interested. We met up one more time, I met her kids. I thought she was great. Called her. No interest. It was all a major let down.

wazer, that's why I suggest waiting. If I love him, and he loves me; we can easily teach and learn how to satisfy one another. However, if it is just sex without feelings, I would just throw him away. Which I feel is very low. jmo

I know its easy to get caught up in the moment.....but I feel that you should wait to have sex.....taking the time to really get to know someone and connect with them only makes the sex that much more satisfying....and then you are with someone that you truly care for and respect.....much more meaningful!

I'm probably old fashion but seriously, sex on a first date is not something I'd be interested in. I'd lose major respect for the woman and it would make me wonder how many times she has had sex on the "first date". Slut comes to mind.

I can see it happening if there is distance involved and the "first date" is after you have spent a lot of time talking and have developed some feelings for each other. If you each feel the other is sincere and you both like what you have learned of each other - if that chemistry is there then yes, go for it.
