So far from the atheist that I know, and the ones that post here only show me through their ignorance that they have no morals, values or ethics. I am open for any atheist to prove me wrong.Yet I havent yet found one to prove me wrong.
What atheist on this forum has any morals?

I am an atheist with a moral system. I have strong deontological leanings because I tend to emphasize the intentions behind an act rather than the consequences, which predisposes me to think that, should someone accidentally do something that leads to much pain and anguish, they are no guilty of any moral infraction. In terms of social morality and justice, I believe strongly in fairness and justice, and I think Rawl's universalizing concept of the veil of ignorance is a sufficient gauge for how to fairly organize things. The concept is pretty simple, and I've even seen it illustrated in a commercial. The commercial has a mother let a young boy decide how to divide a porton of food, and he creates a big piece and a little piece. But the boy doesn't get to decide who gets what piece, and he ends up with the short piece. So in the absence of who is getting what, or behind a veil of ignorance, one would tend to divide things equally and fairly. This doesn't entail communism or perfect equality, though, because from behind that veil of ignorance you'd also want to allow those who work harder to get more from their hard work, so that your own work isn't in vain.
So yes, I have morals, and morals much more reasonable and well-thought out than appeals to an invisible, uknowable deity, to boot!

What exactly do you mean when you say atheists have no morals? Do you mean that atheists are bad people and do bad things like murder and rape? This is demonstrably false. Do you mean that atheists do not have moral systems? I just outlined one for you above.
If you think something is wrong with my moral system, then critique it. I assure you that it is less vulnerable to critique than any divine-command morality you posit, for which I can point out all kinds of flaws. The least you could do is defend your position by critiquing what I wrote.

I have a question. Why would you be so closed minded to put a thread like this? I could put "Do Christians have morals?" Just because of someone beliefs in religion and or theories of life and what happens in the after life doesn't mean they don't have any morals. There are penty of christians and other faiths who honestly really don't have any morals but hide behind that religion because it so called makes them a better person. I am not an atheist and I am not christian. I am very Spiritual. What a person believes or feels about life should be personal. If you feel the need to have to prove your beliefs to others, well maybe you are questioning your own personal beliefs yourself and are just trying to find other sheep to help you believe what you have been told to believe. I'm all for thinking for yourself. I do not need to prove how I feel about my Spirituality to anyone. Nor do I feel others should prove how they feel about theirs either. Religious freedom means freedom for all religions or beliefs. Expand your thoughts and try not to be so closed minded or judgemental of others. "Teach only Love, For that is what you are."

I agree, people who are judgemental enough to think that only religious people are the only ones who have morals...are showing that they lack moral themselves, by assuming that very thing.

Understand this...
sabellious hates all non-believers, atheists, agnostics, and some xtians (esp. trinity believers).
It excites him to debase anyone who doesn't concur with his biased
opions.
He claims to be a messianic Jew.
He spits & runs.
He is a coward.

Why would anyone try to prove you wrong, you're simply to narrow minded and ignorant to bother with. People who make ultimate statements about those not enslaved to dogmatic ignorance and they have no understanding of, are just expressing their deep fear and paranoia of anything outside their limited mentality. Hows it feel to be so dumb.

Sabellious... can you please stop wasting our time by posting these close-minded posts?
An Atheist is perfectly capable of being moral as a religious person... further subscribing to a religious belief does not imply having morals.
In the end, what it comes down to are actions and intentions. A person does not need to subscribe to any sort of religious belief to perform righteous actions for righteous reasons. Stop deluding yourself into thinking that you are this holier-than-thou figure who knows what is best for everyone. The type of ignorance and bigotry that you have displayed on this forum is an exhibition of the worst forms of religious fundamentalism (I typically associate ANYBODY who uses the word "heathen" in a serious context as a fundamentalist). It is people like you who make other religious people (such as myself) look bad.
Also... stop claiming to be a Jew.

Why is the typical response to these silly questions always, something to the effect of: "Athiests possess morality too, it is not just for the religious minded."
However, my question that I wonder if atheists ponder, is: Why be moral in the first place?
P.S. Tonight I am invoking the Law for evermore. This Law is, is that if you cannot read, then do not respond to my posts. I am not going through this crap like last night, where everyone or a specific few interject my words with their irrationality.

LOL..... are you saying for someone to be an atheist means they have no feelings at all and can't be good and do right? Morals is to choice right from wrong. Just because they might feel there is no higher wisdom doesn't mean they can't have morals. You just again turned it back at religion. People can be good people no matter what they believe.

That's true, as morals are creations of the religious and are designed to repress, suppress and control. But it's important to be ethical, something the religious lack in large amounts, I find most atheists live by accepted naturally occurring ethics.

Thanks, Stormboy for actually answering my comment.
However,
So morals are creations of the religious and are designed to repress, suppress, and control. Interesting. There is not one person on this site that does not have a instinctual moral nature. Before I had even heard the words: God, church, or anything of any religious connection, I was 5 years old, and intuitively knew that be stealing Bubble Yum at the local OMalias was wrong. I wouldn't of used that word at that age probably, but that is what I would say now. This is my own personal experience, which is convincing.
On more of an objective basis, a defining feature between animals and man, is morality. More importantly, the instinct of morality. I mean how many atheists are arguing the OP, that they have morals? Did I just prove my point? Are you religious? Didn't think so.
So let's get rid of this notion, that morality's origin are connected to religious movements or beliefs. It is an innate instinct, like the rest of our instincts.
