The joke is everybody goes home or back to camp and leaves the person holding the bag waiting on the snipes. The one holding the bag get's a little pissed when they find out what's happened. stress_test Airway Heights, WA 50, joined Sep. 2008	It's best done at night with a flashlight, a bbq skewer and several people. Scatter out through a wooded area and try to push em to the center. Everybody has to be really quiet and sneak through so as not to get the snipes excited or spooked. Then when they are all bunched up in the center, just slowly slide the bags over a few snipes and tie them shut. Once the bags are all tied shut you can all scream loudly and scare them to death. Then you can just skewer them right through the bags and toss em on the BBQ.

If you need a permit I'm sure they will know. Kids can snipe hunt for free but they have to be with an experienced hunter. Some places where they have lots of snipes, they don't need permits.

Well they have that overpopulation problem, since we killed off the snipes biggest natural predator,...the jackalope, Thank God, the fireflys and owls keep them somewhat under control, or we would be overrun....the fireflys blind em and they fall into holes or get stuck to crab-grass and can't get to water. Well we all know how owls hunt..but they are a disadvantage since the snipe can get stuck in their feathers, so it is dangerous prey for the owl. First off someone has to find them dearing the day so others will know where to go that night. It's really like hunting trukeys but at night. Who ever said use a flash light is wrong due to they can't take bright lites. So take along a few lighters with you. It takes time so enjoy it. OH, Pickup a Kansas Wildlife&Hunting book on season times.

I could hear them laughing, so I eased on back to my Aunts house and told her. She decided to get back at them so she hid me in the house, when they got home and were laughing and told her what they had done. She yelled at them and told them to be ashamed of themselves and they had better hurry up and get me back home. After about an hour they came back home to tell her I was lost and she and I were sitting on the porch.

usakindatheart Overton, TX 54, joined Mar. 2008	went snipe hunting with my cousins when i was young, told me i had to bring tomato sauce in a bowl, but to just let them sniff it... we heard some rustling, and i took off and spilled that crap all over me... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ took some sorority girl pledges snipe hunting... we made them go in bras and panties, most were from up north, we went in the woods and gave them one flash light, and said they couldn't come back with out one... they carried this over large garbage bag, and was told not to let it make a crinkle sound... they came back the next mourning... well to say... alot worse for wear.... and made them make our breakfast... good old days.... tried cow tipping... the damn bull chased us... and we dived through bob wire... got ripped on my leg too.. still have the scar..lol... did not ever try that again... have recommended it to every teenager boy i have ever met...lol....

They are so tough to catch cause they are camouflaged and can see in the dark. Not many peeps have seen a full grown snipe in the wild because they change their physical appearance when they grow up. But one fella caught a baby snipe and was gonna start a snipe farm. But they burrowed under they fences and escaped. This on is a male snipe. You can tell cause of the ears. . . This is a female. See the different ears? . . . Up here you know if an area is open to snipe hunting because they have they signs. . . .This guy is getting ready to go snipe hunting. Notice the head and eye protection I mentioned earlier. Beginners can get pretty banged up trying to catch them lil fella's.
